The technician was experienced, professional, and thoughtful. Five stars for him and the two other repairmen who came to my house. The ordeal I had to endure in order to get my appliance fixed was unreasonable, and why I will never use Sears repair service again. Sears has replaced their website with hallucinating vibe coding and their phone line with all AI agents that only have scripted responses. They make it very clear that there are no human agents. The AI agent constantly interrupted me when I talked, misunderstood what I said, then hung up on me in the middle of scheduling an appointment. 2 out of 5 of my appointments were canceled by their system with no reason given, and I was automatically rescheduled a 6th time after my 5th appointment was over and my appliance was fixed. There was no way for me to explain that I needed continuing help with the same broken appliance. I had to request an appointment like it was a new issue every single time, and I don’t think the technicians had my information on their end, either. The texts they send that give updates on the appointment sometimes had incorrect information. Also sometimes the appointment information page had non-clickable links and non-functional text entry boxes. It was like a dream version of a webpage where everything changes every time you blink. This experience took years off my life and I wish nothing but the worst for whoever decided to implement this horrendously dysfunctional system.
