FIVE STAR SERVICE
Brent is an exceptional technician. He did a great job servicing our lawn tractor on Friday, but what REALLY impressed me was his willingness to come back a few days later when I was experiencing another issue. He made the corrections necessary and gave me some great tips on using the mower and keys to keeping it running in top shape. I highly recommend Brent and hope he is available for our next yearly tune up. 5 stars!!

Very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly! We did not follow his recommendations because it would not have been cost effective for our situation. We decided to buy a robot mower instead of putting more money into our present mower. Would still recommend Sears Services because it was easy to book appt., they showed up on time AND Fred got my mower running in just a very short time! Two thumbs up!

Is your yard ready for the cold weather? Our infographic reveals simple lawn and garden tips for the fall and winter.
When cold weather sets in, lawns go dormant, leaves fall and gardens transition. But plenty of flowers and veggies can grow well into the fall to give your outdoor space a boost of color and beauty.
Fall is also the time to do some basic maintenance to help ensure that your lawn is nice and green once spring rolls around.
Here’s how to prep your lawn and garden so they’re ready when the temperatures start to dip and the cold winds blow.

If you’re planning to stay in your home for the next 10 to 15 years, you don’t need to worry too much about the return on investment, or ROI, from your home improvement projects. But if you know you’ll be selling and moving in two to five years, you’ll want to think about where to spend your money to increase your home’s marketability and get the biggest bang for your buck — while of course also considering which improvements you’d like to see as the current inhabitant.
Winter is finally over, which means it’s time to put away the snow shovels and start thinking about spring projects, such as your lawn.
Winter weather can leave your grass, shrubs and trees weak and hungry, especially after months of lying dormant under a blanket of ice and snow. If you want them to come back fuller and lusher than ever, follow these simple tips from Ed Laflamme, a Landscape Industry Certified Manager in Connecticut and author of Green Side Up: Straight Talk on Growing and Operating a Profitable Landscaping Business.

You don’t want to be that neighbor, the one with the overgrown lawn and unkempt garden that make everyone scowl as they drive by. There’s an art to creating a beautiful landscape around your home, but you don’t need to be a professional to do it. All it takes is a little TLC and some know-how.
Let your dogs and cats play on your lawn or in your garden, knowing they’re free from chemicals and dangerous tools.
If you are a pet owner, you want to give your cat or dog a pet-friendly yard where they can run around, play fetch and explore the great outdoors — without having to worry about their safety.
But you have to be careful about how you take care of your yard, or your outdoor home improvement efforts could end up making your pets sick, or worse.
From toxic chemicals to dangerous tools, there are many garden hazards that, if not properly stored, can pose deadly risks to dogs and cats, says Dr. Tina Wismer, medical director at the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) Animal Poison Control Center.
She offers pet-friendly advice on how to make sure your yard is safe for your dog or cat.

How to make sure your gas-powered ride-on mower is truly cutting it.
A ride-on mower is similar to a car in that it needs regular service and care if it’s going to last. So whether you own a push mower or a ride-on tractor, if basic maintenance and repair are neglected, parts will start to wear out. However, with regular maintenance, a mower can last up to seven to 10 years, according to J.D. Power.
