Mike was great. I'd spent the day trying to figure out how to make the locking mechanism work. All attempts led to the conclusion that either the control board or the locking mechanism itself would have to be replaced. When Mike arrived, he was stumped as well. As a last ditch guess, he thought a child guard may be preventing the maching from operating. There was no indication on the panel that there even was a child lock available on my machine so he randomly pushed two side by side buttons and, voilá, the locking device released, and the cycle was adjusted and it began washing the load of clothes that were already in it. Now, I just have get the service visit fee reversed because I was assured that if I agreed to the repair (I did) and if I bought the monthly warranty (I did) that the visit charge would be waived. Stay tuned.
