GE Profile Washer Won’t Start Troubleshooting

When your GE Profile washer won’t start even though it is getting power, check the control settings to see if the Control Lock is enabled. You won’t be able to start the washer when controls are locked.

You’ll see the lock icon on the control lit up if the control lock is turned on.

To turn off the control lock on a top-load GE Profile washer, press and hold the Warm Rinse and Auto Soak buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The buttons vary by model so you may need to press and hold the Rinse and Spin buttons on your GE Profile top-load washer.
