  2. Terrible Experience

The repair man came and wouldn't listen to the description of what wasn't working, just kept repeating that there was water going to it so it was working fine. Then he left saying there was no problem. Washer still isn't working and now we have a very bad taste in our mouth about Sears repair personnel.

The parts were ordered and mailed very quickly. The technician was very courteous and gave us excellent advice in that we have to replace the AC unit because of the hazardous condition of this unit. This is very appreciated.

  7. Time claim was processed vs. actual service repair

    Overall rating

When the claim was filed, the cust svs. rep did not tell me the parts being ordered were coming to my home to hold until the svs. repair was performed. I was told it would take 2 weeks before coming out and a window of 8 hrs! The initial svs. rep tried to install the parts mailed, but they were the wrong "version" and the screen viewed the picture upside down. This was due to confirming with tech supp. and the rep that the info on my model did not match the parts ordered. If your techs could come out TIMELY the first time and make sure the correct parts are ordered, this would ensure a much more efficient service visit and repair. I was very disappointed to find out that the cust svc. rep when placing the claim could not confirm if the part originally ordered was in fact the part for my specific model. After confirming the wrong parts were ordered, the tech ordered the correct parts, but I would have to call AGAIN once the correct parts arrived at my home and set up a time for the repair to be performed. I called again a second time-the cust. svc. rep told me for a tech to come back out would be another 3 1/2 weeks! I said that was completely unacceptable-I found out that if I call the local no. for my area that the appt. could be performed a whole lot faster as a matter of fact they could do it the next business day! Once Steve arrived, he knew just what needed to be done and performed the repair (which was to unbolt the old part and bold on the new part-about 3 minutes) and then put it back together-he was very knowledgable and I was completely satisfied with his repair visit once he arrived. I like how he calld to let me know he was on his way and narrowed down the second visit to me within a cple hours and when in route called again with an ETA of about 20 min. which was great. THE BOTTOM LINE: Sears needs more techs to handle the customer service base that are paying a lot of money for these svc. agreements to have their repairs done efficiently and timely. If the manpower was there a tech could have come out to the house that same week the claim was filed to make sure the correct parts were ordered when disassembling my tv. GUESSING WHICH PARTS FROM CUST SVC. AND ORDEREDING THEM IS A WASTE OF MONEY ORDERING THEM AND ADDING AGGRAVATION TO THE CUSTOMER TO HAVE TO TOLERATE INEFFICIENT DELAYS GETTING THE JOB DONE AND ENJOYING WHAT HE PAID FOR!

  8. Great Service

Our local Sears and their service department provide great service in a timely manner. They are professional and very customer oriented. I've been using them for over a decade and will continue to do some. I have the Master Protection Agreement and all my appliances covered by it. The annual inspection included in the agreement is very thorough and helps to find any problems before they become larger issues. I also like the fact that if they can't fix the problem after 4 separate attempts they will replace the appliance with a new one.
