My Experience with Sears Home Services
I tried to get the small, local shops to handle a repair on my 7 year old range. However, all the small, local Mom and Pop places turned me away. Some had good reason ("…just don't have the diagnostic tools to handle…"). My experience with Sears of 10-15 years ago was poor but out of desperation I gave them another chance. Surprisingly, the Sears call center was able to give me a next day appointment in the 9 to 5 window but he called early and showed up at 9 AM. The tech was friendly and informative. He told me that, in his opinion, now that "Sears Home Services" which did only home repairs (and not retail sales) was more efficient and flexible. Judging from the service I received, I would agree with him. He recommended the Sear home warranty service as an option for my home (23 y/o home with appliances that will come due for repair in the near future) and I am considering it. Overall, I would have to say the the company I dealt with was way more qualified than the one of past years.

Kyle was efficient, on time, courteous and knowledgeable of this work. When he removed the rack that revealed the inside bottom of the oven, it was filthy. I asked if I could vacuum up the dirt. Then, he offered to do it for me. That was very kind of him and totally unnecessary. Please reward this awesome young for his outstanding customer relations, work ethic and knowledge of diagnosis and repair. I saw how dirty
