Refrigerator Repair

This was the third attempt (and two appointment cancellations) to repair the refrigerator that stopped working six weeks ago (July 11, 2024). Previous calls failed to fix the problems and parts were ordered. On this call a new heater was installed but no diagnostics were performed to confirm the problem had been fixed. When the technician departed it was suggested that we "try this for 24-48 hours" and if it isn't working properly call Sears and request that Keith (the tech who first diagnosed the problems) return to fix the problem.

ice maker

initial call was made because the ice maker was not making ice. initial technician determined that water valve was not working and ordered a replacement water valve. The technician did not test the ice maker. Bruno came today (8/23/24) to install replacement water valve. Problem #1 - the replacement valve was slightly different … no mounting bracket. Problem #2 - the water line could not be mounted to the water valve because the connection on the valve was different when compared to original. Problem #3 - Bruno did not test to see if water was going through replacement water valve to ice maker. Problem #4 - ice maker is still not producing ice. Bruno did the best he could with installing replacement water valve as this was his assignment. Now that the valve was replaced, the original problem still exists. Someond needs to determine if water is flowing thru valve to ice maker and determine if ice maker is working. Please schedule a new technician that will determine what is wrong.

He was so rude this morning on the 29th of july he left me in tears at the driveway when I was trying to ask questions is all. I wanted to know what parts he was going to order since he didnt answer me on what was wrong with it. He said I answered enough questions from last time he was here. Thats when he said it couldn't be fixed because it was so old it didnt have a serial tag even. Its not that old but after he left on the 16th first vist I went in and found a well preserved S/N TAG Myself. Then I texed him a pic of it and he said the account was closed and would have to set another appt. Which was today. HE took a pic of it and ran out, but I had questions on what was next and he got huffy with me and refused to answer any question I had. I just wanted to know what part he was going to order. Then again he said Im not answering a y questio s I have to go. HE WAS HORRIBLE TO ME AND I NEVER WAS ASKED TO SIGN ANYTHING ON EITHER VISIT..HE PUT A HUGE X WHERE MY SIGNATURE SHOULD HAVE BEEN. I called sears emidetly and a couple nice ladys rescheduled me for TOMMARROW! With another Tech. This has been going on for almost 4 weeks now Im old and tired..We have been loyal customers for a couple decades and never seen this. OH P.S... I gave him a 5 star on his first visit beacause I didnt want to upset anyone .. Just wanted my frig. Fixed..but hes out of hand and scarry to my mom and I whos 71 and 93urs old. THANK YOU FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NICE HELP.

Seemingly easy fix…far too expensive charge

Dryer belt broke. Paul recognized and replaced in less than 15 minutes. The part was appx $17.00 and labor appx $330.00 which is outrageous.

They came to fix my washer, that caused a leak in my basement. After the tech left, he left all my fans and dehumidifiers unplugged which could cause mold growth in my house. Not only did he leave them unplugged, when he unplugged them he moved the cord to a position which made my 3-year old daughter trip (they were all placed under rugs prior to his arrival). I called and sent him a text, but he never responded. Since I was at work, and can't fix the issues he left I called the 1-800 line to have him come back out and fix it since but was left on hold for 45-min. NEVER use them. Use a local, small business who cares about their community.

Failed to complete job

Company kept changing the appointment dates and every time, no one showed up.. This went on for at least 7 working days. Each time I received a promise, and they still failed. I notified the warranty company and requested that they send a different company. BBB has a number of the same complaints levied against Sears Home Services.

Technician doesn't care

Ambrocio is the name of the technician. He ordered a suspension parts to be replaced but there was a problem with the delivery. Since he doesn't want to deal with re-ordering he just assign it to someone else. Now the next technician came and doesn't know how to pick up from there and he just informed me to somehow get a hold of the seller and ask them to re-ship. Sears Home is the one who ordered the part. I have no right to ask the seller to resend me the part. my washer is still not fixed after five weeks.

After 2 trips out to my house my heat pump problem still exists ( blowing cold air) he claims he can't see a problem, his suggestion is to trip the main circuit breaker at the panel. That is totally unacceptable!!! He didn't even go check out the 2nd heat pump which I believe is located in the crawl space. I had to call CHW for a third time and request another company come out to figure out what the problem is and they are charging me another dispatch fee! I'm not really sure who I'm more dissatisfied with, CHW or your company. You asked, I answered.

Dryer repair

Claimed the repair was done and was not willing to wait to demonstrate completion. Five minutes after he left I tried to dry a load and the pronounced loud sound was as loud as ever. He had not solved the problem.
