Service Tech was nice but our ice maker is still not working, first appointment was on 9/10 - ordered parts, 9/20 install parts - new ice maker and mother board over $300 in parts and the ice maker never works. Call to have them come back out next appointment is 10/4! this is not great service at all.

I have had Sears out twice now and already paid over $300 in parts and labor to have my control board fixed, but it is still not working. Another part ordered today. First technician didn't even know how there was a programming mode associated with replacing a control board, the second tech today knew about it, but didn't have the proper procedure for my model. I still have not been able to find someone with access to the service manual for my model. We'll see if this part fixes it (I doubt it will, as many DIY websites say this part typically isn't the problem, but just like the first tech, this second tech said, "this is definitely, 100% sure the problem...").

Scheduled for 8am - 12 noon window for washing machine repair - leaking hose. Supposed to get SMS updates on tech arrival. It's 1pm and have heard nothing. Called and had to 'talk' with AI 'Samantha' who kept telling me my appointment was on Tuesday, January 7th. Guess what?? This year, 2026, the 7th falls on Wednesday. Today. Asked 'Samantha' to speak with a human being and 'she' said she had the same information the human beings had. Ha! 'She' doesn't know what day it is. I'm done. What a crock!

Gave the tech the dishwasher code when scheduling. When the tech arrived he said that the code says it needs a control panel part of which has been discontinued. If he knew what the code needed and that the part had been discontinued, why would he show up to charge me over $150 to tell me that he cannot get the part. Not good business and will NEVER buy or use Sears service again. A phone call would have been good business.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a recent diagnostic service for my refrigerator. The technician's conduct was highly unprofessional. After a mere five-minute inspection, he informed my wife that the compressor had failed and provided a verbal estimate of approximately $3,000 for the repair, recommending we purchase a new unit instead. This assessment proved to be completely inaccurate. The official service receipt emailed to me did not list a compressor as a required part, but rather other, lower-cost components. This discrepancy shows that the exorbitant $3,000 quote was not based on a genuine diagnosis and seems designed to discourage repair in favor of a new purchase. I find it unjust that I was charged a $156 diagnostic fee for this misleading and rushed service. The lack of phone support has only added to this frustrating experience.

Technician didn’t want to pull my refrigerator all the way out to do a full diagnostics test. Told me it was probably the compressor that went bad and it would cost about $2,600 to repair. Suggested I just purchase a new refrigerator. I looked at the cost of a new compressor for my model # on Sears parts website and it was approx. $600 (not $2,600 like I was quoted.) Paid $156.00 for the diagnostics (which didn’t happen.). Plus good luck talking to a live person on their phone. All so-called techs are AI with the exception of the in-home repair service techs. Not happy with Sears right now!

Technician did wrong diagnostic. The fridge section had not worked even after tech did something. Tech charged for services. And never responded to my complaint afterwards to come back and repair it.

He didn’t even open up the dryer to diagnostic it. Just gave me estimates of what he thought. A what the parts would cost. I told the app basically the same thing. Kinda felt like it was a scam, for him to even come

Technician came out June 26 said parts that were ordered was not the correct part to fix issue even with supplied error code reordered part for 7/10 had someone waiting all day get a message at 323 pm stated service will be rescheduled for 7/17 not once ever getting a call could not get ahold of a person or call back from text message. Arrived home after being out of town for a week installed the part still having same issue along with same codes technician came out 7/17 would not even touch machine stated warranty has been voided even though I couldn’t get anyone to return a call. Even with no warranty I don’t under stand why I can’t have any one repair machine even though the part supposedly is bad did not fix issue what about warranty on other parts that is actually bad causing issue.
