    David was very prompt, curious, friendly, professional. Great service. Nothing was wrong with my fridge. Just needed good cleaning by the vents and he gave me tips on how to maintain it if temperature dropped. Highly recommend Sears.

  5. No repair was completed

    There was no completion of the repair. After four months I was told that the appliance would be replaced. The option given was the wrong size for the space and another model by the same manufacturer that would fit was not accepted. The cash option offered was subpar but the supervisor I spoke about let me know in very clear way that your company is there to make money. So now you are losing a customer of 40 years for $300 instead. I’ve canceled my account.

    Easy clogged drain fix; 20 minute job. Pre-set price, regardless of how simple. $360 fee. How about charging for time job takes?

  7. No service, no communication

    First, let me say that the technician is great. He came out months ago, identified the problem, requested parts, and came back as scheduled. However, the parts never came in, the appointment was canceled as a result and the message was never forwarded to the tech. I can’t get in touch with anyone without waiting on hold for hours, my most recent parts order and appointment was canceled with no explanation and it’s been FOUR MONTHS of this. I still have no idea what’s going on and it would be great if SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME. If I could give a negative star review, I would.

  8. Worst Experience Ever.

    Fridge not cooling. When making my appointment, I was told I would only pay the diagnostic fee for my repair since the compressor on my Kenmore Elite fridge was under warranty. Appointment was made. First available was 19 days out. Day of Sears automatically rescheduled my appointment for another 15 days out because technician was sick. Calls and attempts to get an appointment sooner because I was bumped from my first service date were of no use. Service guy finally came and told me what I already knew, the compressor on my fairly young refrigerator was bad. He racked up the estimate with hefty labor charges and additional parts besides the compressor--all things I would need to pay for so I decided not to go forward with the repair. Trust issues when he was reluctant to tell me how much the compressor part would be without the warranty and when he only showed me his estimate on his phone, but wouldn't put it in writing for me. I figured I should consider just buying a new fridge. Looked for fridges the next day and ultimately decided to repair my broken fridge. Called Sears to get the service appointment set up for the repair. Turns out the service tech who was here 2 days prior and charged me quite a bit of money for the diagnostic was unreachable and hadn't turned in my parts order. I would have to make another appointment, weeks out, for another expensive diagnostic even after being passed 8 times and spending 2.5 hours on the phone trying to find the report from the technician. I don't think Sears will ever repair this fridge, but they do LOVE collecting diagnostic fees. No thanks. I will hire a reputable company. Sears' treatment of customers is disgusting.
