Service wasn’t very helpful at all. Didn’t have the replacement part. Had item (Kenmore Refrigerator) less than 3 years and Sears wanted to charge $500 for the repair of a water filter housing. I called Sears and customer service was terrible! I wouldn’t recommend buying any products from Sears!

We had an appointment set for our fridge to get serviced for Monday June 24th. Took off of work naturally as we were given a "some time between 8AM and 5PM" window. No one showed. Reschedule for Tuesday. Rinse, repeat. Rescheduled for Thursday. Rinse repeat. Then they decided to say the soonest we can get on site is July 9th. Now our Fridge-freezer died in the meantime and i'm out 3 vacation days.

If you are reading this now - kudos to you for doing your homework. This was THE worst repair experience ever. Estimator looked at machine, went outside, was on the phone calling and scrolling for 20 minutes. Came in, said he didn't have the part, it would be ordered. We made a repair date. No one showed. Spent 45 minutes on 3 calls with Sears, found out the part was to be mailed to my house and then they'd set a date. No email or information stated that. I asked for managers, there were none. I was hung up on. Finally persuaded someone to find out the delivery date and make a new service date. The item was miraculously delivered the next day. Did not receive confirmation email, so I called day before the second appointment. They had no appointment recorded. Spent another 30 minutes talking and being transferred until finally someone "found" the appointment. I kept them on the line until I saw a confirmation email - he said it was sent 4 times - but I received nothing! Luckily the repair person was GREAT. He told me the estimator must not have looked closely enough because he didn't order quite the right part(s), however, he was still able to fix the issue. With the time I spent on the phone, I should have received a good 1/3 back - the repair person was here 30 minutes which came out to about $320 an hour. Throughout all of this I received 7 emails and was given their spiel 5 times on the phone to purchase repair packages. DO NOT USE SEARS! Zero stars. (5 stars for the repair person.) UPDATE: I went to the site that is referred to in their response...as expected, it did not work.

Warranty department had our appliance labeled as microwave nor oven which was our issue. He refused to even look at it and determine what was wrong with it so when i contact Warranty department to reschedule they would have the correct parts!
