The service was fine although I thought it to be rather costly. If I would have known this, I would have opted to purchase a new range. For a mere additional $200, I could have purchased a new range of similar characteristics. The repaired range was purchased in year 2002. I can imagine there will be a need for more repairs in the near future. If you are aware how I can get a discount on a new range, I would be interested. Thanks

He installed a new compressor. Had to be a pain, as the outlets on the new one were on top as opposed to the side on the old one. He asked me to give it 48 hrs to reach temperature. Unfortunately, after waiting that long it's still 40 degrees. Oh, and it sounds like there's a tray of marbles vibrating loudly in the freezer every time the compressor comes on. Not a happy GE customer.
