I would rate Tyler 5 stars but the whole experience have made me decide I will NEVER call Sears Appliance Repair. Charging me $359 plus tax of $33 for a total of 45 minutes is outrageous. It took Tyler less than 15 minutes to install the outrageously priced small part ($355) but was told, when I complained about the cost that it was Sears' policy to set a price on each kind of job. Well, Sears, I have written a similar review on other websites and I hope it costs you.

Technicians were good and eventually solved the issue. On the other hand, the automated scheduling and confirmation system was not user friendly nor efficient. Direct contact by phone should be available to address immediate issues. Repeated cancellations, by Sears, of scheduled appointments on the day of the appoint was unsatisfactory. Additional lead time is needed if an appointment needs to be rescheduled.

I had requested deep cleaning for washer and dryer. The technician came and finished within 30 minutes and I had specially requested all the lint be removed from the dryer. The dryer and washer were both not cleaned well and I had to go back and clean it. Not worth the cost. Would not recommend.

Not a review of this specific location or any of their mechanics but Sears Home repair itself. Scheduled a repair for my refrigerator on Monday 6/8 and they only had availability on Thursday 6/11 from 8-12. Fine. By Thursday, my refrigerator had stopped working altogether and needed urgent repair. I updated the service request appropriately. Thursday comes and goes, I’m told they’ll arrive between 9 and 11. Then arrival time is updated to 11:20. Then I get an automated text that “Sorry, no one can come to you today; can we reschedule? Our next opening is Wednesday, 6/17,” nearly a WEEK after my original service date. No communication from any real people, their chat is horrible and doesn’t offer anything other than preset inputs, you cannot speak to any representatives and they just send automated texts and emails. Don’t use Sears just go to a local appliance technician directly.
