Tech replaced water connection top of refrigerator. Closed up and left. Opened doors and everything was wet. Saw that the replaced part was leaking badly. Tech did not say a word. Calling Sears back all they would do is request I file another claim.

I scheduled a fridge repair twice and no one came. The first time I scheduled an appointment, I waited for 4 hours and no one ever came and wasn’t notified until after the appointment window that there were “staffing issues.” I rescheduled, and during my second appointment window, I got another automated text saying that the technician came and I wasn’t home, but the technician didn’t actually come and just sent a picture of a parking garage. The text also said to call back the number that left a voicemail but no one attempted to call me. They subsequently cancelled my service order. It was impossible for me to contact anyone in customer service to ask for help. The phone number was automated and I could not talk to a person, and the chat feature on the website only offers pre-written prompts - I couldn’t type out my problem.

Scheduled a dishwasher repair. Waited all day, repairman 'Robert M' called me to complain about how many service calls he had that day, and asked if I could reschedule. I said no, he said he was on his way. He called twenty minutes later to say he couldn't find parking and I'd have to reschedule. Spent 30 minutes trying to get a representative to help, no dice. Would strongly recommend finding someone who values your time more.

The repairman was very nice and I’m sure very good at his job, but very poor service from Sears Repair itself. They no longer offer the part to repair the broken start button on my GE profile dishwasher, which they could have correctly identified from my service entry. They charged me $150 to tell me in person that they couldn’t repair it. Very frustrated by the entire experience.

Sears has been incredibly awful. They broke the dishwasher when they came to repair it. They had a tech come to our house may times. That tech said the dishwasher should be replaced but his supervisor wouldn’t allow it. We have called Sears more than 30 times at this point. And, if they do replace it, they will do it at $500 under fair market value and only with a low-end Samsung dishwasher. This has been an awful experience. Maybe the worse customer experience of my life.

**Updated on 12/13/25: After my original review, Sears provided me with an email to reach out for help. When I contacted them, I was finally given a phone number. However, the representative I spoke with was extremely rude, repeatedly talked over me, and did not even hear me out. They simply kept saying they would not be issuing a refund, despite the fact that the technician told me the product was not repairable and that the visit never should have been scheduled in the first place. Overall, this experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I do not recommend getting service help from Sears Home Services. _______________________________________________________________ Original Review: I recently booked a repair through Sears Home Services for my GE Opal ice maker, which had started making a screeching noise. When I scheduled the appointment online, I entered the model and serial number of my machine, so Sears knew exactly what item I needed repaired. When the technician arrived, he looked and examined my machine and said, “These machines aren’t repairable.” He went on to explain that these units are made overseas and not designed for parts replacement or repair, basically that they are built to last through the warranty and then you are out of luck. The technician himself was very polite and helpful, and even said that the next time he gets a call for an Opal ice maker, he is going to tell the customer up front that it is not repairable before driving out. Unfortunately, I was the one who had to pay $150 for him to tell me something Sears could have easily told me when I booked the appointment. It feels incredibly unfair and misleading that Sears accepted the service request, knowing the model and serial number, when they already could have known this product cannot be serviced. Instead, they came out only to confirm that fact in person and I was charged for it. After this happened, I tried to contact Sears customer service through their website, but the system is completely AI-generated and provides no way to reach a real person. There is no phone number listed and no email address to contact anyone for help. So I am left to write this review in hopes that someone from Sears will see it and reach out to me. This experience feels like a scam and a waste of time and money. I trusted that Sears would review the information I provided before sending someone out, but clearly that is not the case. I hope this review saves someone else from making the same costly mistake.

Terrible guy wanted us to pay 900 bucks for 4 burner knows when I can get them for 30 bucks right from ge. 900 bucks I could get a bew stove for 500

I have emailed Sears twice with my complaint, which is the inly option on the website, and have not received a reply. I have called the numbers provided and cannot reach an actual person or an option to deal with my issue. This is horrible customer service. Jana Hanson
