The only suitable word is "pathetic". i called Sears Repair for a late model Maytag dryer. Ramin G., the technician, turns it on and confirms that it was making a metallic scraping noise. That was the extent of his "diagnostics", without ever opening the back of the machine, He peremptorily announces that it could not be repaired because the requisite part (which he did not identify) was "no longer available". He could not/would not explain what caused the scraping and huffily refused to open up the machine and show me the problem. He stated that "I don't want to get my hands dirty". My wife identified the problem.. There was no part required and I was able to fix it. In sum, the service was unsatisfactory and the technician was unprofessional at best, and appeared incompetent to us.

It's exactly as described. Go somewhere else. They just repaired my oven. After a 3 week wait, all the parts had not arrived. I called and the missing one magically appeared two days later. Waited more days for appointment. Day of appointment, the techicians arrived an hour after the time window. No call to say they were running late until I called to inquire. They replaced all the parts and it heated. Thought all was good. Third use, an error code appears for a part they just replaced. Just so frustrating. Nice, polite employees, but they have a horrible system to represent. It is disappointing to see what has happened to a once great company.

Never ever have Sears home service , my dishwasher had a problem since September 23, 2019 still have the same problem and spend hours after hours on the phone .It is a time & money wasting

I would never recommend this company. And if you are female and alone, do not let them in! The man who came to my home was unprofessional, demeaned me in my home and did not even touch the appliance he was there to repair. Instead he told me I needed a new appliance because it was unable to be fixed. I tried to ask questions and was told to hurry up and make a decision because he had other homes to get to and was on a strict timeline. I have since had someone else come to my home; and now have a working gas range. I am so glad I did not succumb to the bullying of the "repair" man and replace my less than 5 year appliance for a new one.

Got a appliance protection plan when Sears came to repair, and after one month they visit for a repair and they they don't cover this fridge ( the one I got the plan for first) but we only cover the one in the big kitchen. Never go with them.

Broken glass cooktop - 1st repairman (Wahedy?) judged it defective and told us parts & labor covered by Sears Home Warranty. Different repairman (Sultany?) from AE/Sears came out weeks later to repair but immediately told us we would have to pay for the repair. We refused and he took part and left. Sears Home Warranty office confirmed it was shown in their system as covered and sent another repairman next day. Sears kept trying to get us to renew warranty. Next day the repairman called to warn us we would have to pay. We refused so he didn't come. Spent 10 hours on phone getting transferred and on hold over several days with Sears Home Warranty, with at least 4 different people saying repair should be covered by warranty. Finally the last person indicated that second repairman had later changed the writeup in their system to "customer damaged" and so they couldn't help us. Glad I didn't renew the warranty!

We had a horrible experience with Sears Home Services in northern Virginia. The attempted dryer repair was a scam. Despite three service visits and over $500, they were unable to repair our dryer. Sears does not stand behind their 90 day guarantee and kept trying to get more money out of us. I have asked for my money back with no success. Don’t waste your money and time here.
