Did not fix problem. Drying takes three times longer than it did a few months ago. Almost two hours for a small load. No solutions offered. Work under Sears service, warrantee.

My washing machine stopped working and it has been 3 weeks since they schedule and cancel the appointment to fix it. I decided to buy a new one and cancel my sears home warranty. Update: The technician came on 9/12/2025 and he broke so many parts of the washer and now I am left with so many pieces of the washer. It is so inconvenient to throw it or dispose it.

This is now the fifth time we have had a Sears technician come to “service” our refrigerator under warranty. This has been an ongoing nightmare. For the third time, a compressor was ordered, but this is the first time one would have actually been installed. In prior visits, technicians simply “recharged” the unit, signed off that a compressor was not needed, or admitted they weren’t trained on our particular appliance, forcing us to wait even longer for a new appointment. It feels like a deliberate attempt to drag things out until the warranty runs down. Your customer service system is just as bad—AI-generated, robotic, and completely unhelpful. Every attempt at escalation leads nowhere. The whole operation feels like a scam. Buyer beware. DO NOT buy a Sears warranty. I also want to highlight how disingenuous your public review responses are. Every single one is a copy-and-paste apology that says you’re “sorry for the experience” and instructs customers to call your customer service line—only for them to chase YOU down and still get nowhere. That’s not resolution, that’s deflection. If you were serious about service, you would be contacting us directly, not pushing the burden back on the already-frustrated customer. These responses are insulting and accomplish nothing. On top of the incompetence, one of your technicians was extremely rude and disrespectful during his visit. As a woman home alone at the time, the interaction was unsettling and unacceptable. Safety matters, and your company should take that seriously. I demand a proper follow-up response to this complaint, not another empty apology. Be assured that I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Sears Home Services is a horrible excuse for a warranty provider. Beware!

No diagnostic was done on my appliances. I was told he has 16+ years of experience therefore he knows what the problem is - unacceptable to pay $129.00 each for nothing really done from the tech. Disappointing

This was the worst experience ever. I'm giving 1 star because I could not give zero. Sears cancelled twice, then sent an extremely rude technician who spent 5 minutes to say he would order a part (despite an extremely detailed description of the problem by us). Finally after almost a month, they replaced a part. The problem (unbalanced) remains. I had to use Sears because they were the vendor for the warranty we have on the washer. Sears used to be a reputable repair company. They're horrible now (in the DC metro area). Edited to add that the response they provide is automated. Neither the phone number provided nor the website allows me to speak to a human to file a complaint. Bottom line, find another repair company in the DC metro area.
