I am severely disappointed with Sears Appliance Repair. I called and scheduled and appointment because my refrigerator was making loud noises and could not hold the required cooling temperature and had stopped making ice. A technician was sent out and he immediately collected the $100.00 fee for repair. He determined he needed parts and ordered them. It took 3 weeks (without a refrigerator) to get the parts in. After waiting all day for an appointment that was originally shown to be done between 8:30am and 10:40am, the technician finally arrived close to 4pm. He worked on the refrigerator and I needed to return a rental car so I left my son with him. When I returned, the technician was in his car and I asked if he had completed the work. He said that it was cooling and that he was trying to order parts because now, the refrigerator light and temperatures gauges were no longer working. He said the office was closed and that I would have to call to get the parts ordered. He never gave me a number for either the parts or the department. Today I see where he has made no note of the problem he created, nor any attempt to remedy it. Instead it appears he expects me to pay more money, though I absolutely have no intention to do so. No one from Sears has reached out to me so I remain with a refrigerator that does appear to be cooling but I have no way to determine if it is the proper temperature and I have no light to see in the refrigerator/freezer, nor any ice being produced. Based on that experience, what kind of rating do you really expect???? Let's see if Sears reaches out to remedy this or if I have to get my attorney involved after paying years of monthly fees.

I've been paying monthly for warranty service, and the service I've received is poor. The repair person has not come back to repair my washer. He sat outside my house and did not knock on my door to repair my washer.

I welcomed technician Mr. Roman W. into my home and even offered him coffee and water while he looked into a troubleshooting issue. Unfortunately, the hospitality was returned with hostility. Instead of focusing on diagnosing the problem, he repeatedly tried to push the sale of a $500 part. What was most disappointing was the way he spoke to my mother, telling her he “couldn’t wait all day” for her to decide whether to purchase the part. The interaction felt rushed, pressured, and unprofessional. He also refused to take the oven out of the wall to properly inspect it, saying there were extra screws and that he didn’t have the right screwdriver to remove them. For a technician to show up without the proper tools and then refuse to continue the inspection was extremely frustrating. After all the back and forth, we eventually discovered the issue appeared to be grease on the circuit board. However, he insisted the board was burned and needed to be replaced. When my mother attempted to clean the board, he stopped her and put it away, saying she couldn’t do that and that it was against their policy. My mother asked him to send her the quote for the part where he AGAIN refused and only when my mother asked him why he was being so rude he allowed her to a take a picture of the price for the part on his device. Overall, the experience felt more focused on selling an expensive part than actually diagnosing the problem. When you invite a service technician into your home, you expect professionalism and a genuine effort to help—not pressure and dismissive behavior. Very disappointing experience. Absolutely ridiculous.

Did not get a repair it could be repaired. We want to discontinue our services with Sears home warranty at this time. It cost way too much every month plus anytime you come out you have to pay a diagnostic fee too we are not pleased with all these charges.

The service was fast and easy to set up, but after the fact I have been trying to get a copy of my invoice and it has been the biggest pain in the rear!!!!! You cant talk to anyone, and you only deal with AI. The AI directs you to the website, and the website is also AI and has no way for to request/view a copy of my invoice. I have even reached out to the technician about it and crickets. Not sure why it is so hard to just get a copy of my service invoice?!?!?! The repair was for a business and I need to reimburse myself for the charge. It should not be impossible to speak with a real person!!!!

Update 2/16/25: The technician came out today to repair my fridge and washing machine. It “appears” as though he was able to repair the refrigerator. I’ll see if it is still cooling within the next 24 hours. 🤷🏾‍♀️ The highlight of the visit was when he asked me if I had the parts for the washing machine. 🙄 I was told that the parts were delivered to the technician over a week ago. However, he comes to do the repair with no parts. 🤔 Well here we go again. I’m so over this company. Update 2/14/25: Sears is a total joke of a company. My freezer is working; however whatever was done has now impacted my fridge….it is not longer cold. I made a virtual appointment and no one called. I had to call them and they have moved my appointment time twice. Do not waste your time with an appliance warranty with this company. They will no longer have my business after the contract year is complete. It’s just not worth the headache. Initial Review: The first technician didn’t diagnose the problem correctly so this delayed the repair. The second technician properly diagnosed the issue and ordered additional parts which delayed the repair longer. Although this process took about a month….the third technician installed the correct parts and now my freezer is working perfectly.

They said diagnostic fees is 119. But didn’t mention about additional tax. Very disappointing. And repairing cost is too expensive, technician didn’t actually do anything, didn’t even check , just straight gave me the repair cost which is too expensive where you can buy brand new appliances.
