I have to change my previous rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. The tech is nice and friendly. He replaced the part but he never got to test the work before leaving. I found out the next day that I am still having problem with the heating on my cook top. I have to call again for a recall of the service done.

Too expensive.

The dryer does work having been temporarily repaired, however upon first use we discovered that the exhaust pipe had not been connected to the vent to the outside. Hot air and lint was being projected into the dryer space. Furthermore, on each revolution of the dryer drum, there is a scraping noise that did not exist prior to the repair. We also have a home warranty contract and was surprised to learn that this was not being acknowledged at all, and was quoted a permanent repair at full cost. I will be calling the home warranty number today to attempt a reconciliation of this.

Disappointing service. I provided all the necessary dryer information in advance, yet the technician arrived unprepared, unaware of the issue, without parts, and did not have the ability to order them. I also scheduled a washer inspection for the same visit, but the company reassigned it without explanation. After waiting over an hour for the second technician, I canceled the appointment. The service was disorganized, overpriced, and ultimately unhelpful.

No follow up

Extremely high prices, I was charged over $500 to replace the valve on a washing machine, $300 labor charge for about 30 minute of work.

Charged $90 for a $25 part, tech was in a personal vehicle so he didn't have access to the part needed, this delayed the repair and needed a second trip to the house....

The Sears Technician was very capable however she was prevented from making a simple, functional repair to the START switch button as the design and instructions for repair called this independent pushbutton an integral part of the Kenmore washer front "console" which would have to be replaced, but which is no longer available. A workable $200 part rendered useless by a $2 plastic independent button whose only function is to access the START switch done 1/2" inside the front console accessed through a 3/8" X 3/8" rectangular hole in the console. The console and START button to engage the START switch is poorly designed IMO. As a minimum Sears should require vendors to provide for "work-around" fixes to affix independent buttons which may break off and render consoles unworkable. I cannot hold a technician responsible for poor design and for providing a quick, inexpensive solution for a problem each of these machines will see. Sears: just how many $200+(?) consoles were scrapped due tins $2 button and $5 fixing solution not being available? Is it any wonder Sears in in bankruptcy? This is typical of one of the many reasons! As is I will find a way to keep thr button in place. . Very disappointed in Sear's "Master Protection Agreement."
