First off the technician Andrew was great. He arrived and promptly took care of the two issues we had with the Kenmore Elite refrigerator and was gone shortly afterward. The two stars is actually over-rated for the service department and schedulers. They did not listen to me as I told them of the problems. They made up a problem which was not even close to the actual problem. Next was the appointment window of 7am - 6pm. That is 11 hours waiting for a call and a technician to advise us as to when he might arrive. Surely Sears can do better than 11 hours for a customer to wait. The darn sure didn't wait that long to charge my card when I purchased the Service Agreement. Good technician Very poor everything else.

Quoted me $700 to fix a $200 dryer. So I went to a parts store, bought a $44 heating element for the dryer and fixed it in an hour watching a YouTube video.After I paid him $100 to tell me it was broken (already knew that obviously). He was a nice guy but that’s pretty much par for the course now.

My experience with Sears home repairs was terrible! The part was mailed directly to me from Amazon and would’ve cost $26. I was charged $147 for the same part. I was scheduled for a tech to be at my house from 8 AM to 12 PM. No one ever called to confirm and they never showed up in that timeframe. Trying to deal with the AI service was also no help. I ended up rescheduling my appointment for the next day only to be called and told my tech was on his way. I had to drop everything and rush home! Not a good experience.

The problem was not fixed. A new part was installed, the techs started the dishwasher and left. At the end of the cycle the dishwasher did not drain. That is the original problem.

Sears has the worst service, I scheduled a regular maintenance cleaning on my HVAC unit, the technician blew the motor and is charging me another $100 to fix their mistake. I am cancelling this Sears home warranty and recomend everyone stay away from Sears Home Service

Our dishwasher insurance works with this company, but the scheduling process is a nightmare. There is no way to reach a real person—every phone number leads to an automated system that only asks yes/no questions and doesn’t allow for any logical interaction. They initially provide an extremely wide 8 a.m.–5 p.m. service window. Only on the day of the appointment do they narrow it down to a two-hour window, which the technician did not respect. I was given a 1–2 p.m. arrival time, but the technician called at 4 p.m. to say he could not come because it was “too late” and the HOA does not allow technicians after 4 p.m. the second time the window was 8-12am. He came in purpose at 8 am as he knows he is not allowed to enter before 9am due to the HOA restrictions. He again billed $125 without doing the job and said I can not enter - take another appointment. Overall, the lack of communication, unreliable scheduling, and inability to speak with a human make this a very frustrating experience and looks like a scam. They know the hours of operation and they come before or after so they bill but they do not perform the duty. This is going on for 2 months now.

Do not recommend this warranty, we’ve been reschedule 7 times since 12/24, it’s hard to get a live person and when you do they promise the complaint has been escalated and promise the technician will be there for the next appt, and so far have not showed up. I’m canceling the plan and have to go buy a new appliance since they won’t refund the service fee and we need to return the parts on top of that we have missed 7 days of work to wait between 8-5 and no one shows up. Not one person has been able to help including so called “supervisors”
