Mohammad explained every thing he checked on HVAC. He said it was on last leg and offered for Sears to give a free estimate on new unit. I contacted Choice, the Home Warranty company that we have. I thought the report to Choice would have included that info but when I contacted them, they didn't have the info regarding HVAC not repairable. Choice requires a report regarding status of HVAC.

Tech acknowledges that there is a problem, probably with the pump, causing the loud grinding noise we hear. But says they have been instructed to do nothing, as long as the machine still works. No parts being ordered. Wait till it breaks completely than call, order parts and wait. Could go weeks without a washer. What a business model. 5 year service warranty with Sears.

Will never use you again!!! 10 days for you to come. Told you what was wrong, yet no part you said would be with him, this was a simple fix. He confirms, can order & install in 10 MORE days. $478 to replace a latch! Included $50 " service & clean" I did not authorize. . Decided to call a local for oven instead. Be here MONDAY. Diagnostics--HALF what you charge. Used to be reliable, what a shame...

Technician was nice. This is the second repair that has been needed in 6 months. The compressor was replaced 6 months ago and according to the technician today it needs to be replaced again. We were charged for 2 compressors last year - and received 2 - but it’s impossible to ever speak with anyone so we’ve had this second compressor in the closet … according to the technician today it’s not even the correct compressor for this unit. Two stars are for the technician only. He called to confirm this morning, gave me an approximate time he would arrive, and called again when he was 10 min out like I requested. But this company and their warranties are THE WORST. Again, trying to get ahold of anyone is a painful time suck.

After four visits of waiting around for a technician (customers are given a “window” of 8am-5pm) our oven remains as is. The technicians were pleasant enough but the AI feature of the service is a joke. It’s not responsive to customers nor the technicians. Even when you request a human response the AI gal will reply that it’s not possible. And the message you see in response to various bad ratings is the AI phone number!

Terrible. Absolutely awful. Initial appointment, the field supervisor was the first to come diagnose. Issue: $1100 drier is hitting 80 decibels (suspect bad bearing(s) or failing motor that’s only 2 years old (my diagnosis). Shook his head when he turned it on and basically told me the warranty I got sucked and it doesn’t cover loud noise (80 decibels btw, hearing damage starts around 85). After he left after not doing a damn thing, we called the company back and made another appointment for someone else to come back after starting the drier for customer support so they could hear how LOUD it was. Different technician came back, diagnosed it as a failed motor, and had one ordered- came directly to the house within 2-3 days. Had another appointment set for install- received a text saying they need to reschedule (#1). We take off work again for the new date. Technician comes out, doesn’t have the proper tools to do his job, and has to reschedule again (#2). Set a new date for January 07, took off work again, then received a text in the AM saying they rescheduled (#3) for today. We just received this morning that a technician stopped by but we weren’t home… we have 4 cameras looking at the front of the house… nobody came by. To say how pissed off we are is an understatement. Unprofessional, untimely, and just poor poor customer service. Not sure how they are in business. Sears needs to drop this company as a provider, A&E Services needs to retrain their technicians and their technicians manager needs to be let go. An absolute joke.

We purchased a brand-new GE washer and dryer (2023 models) when we bought our home. Until recently, both appliances had been working well. However, we began experiencing two issues: the washer’s fabric softener compartment was backing up with water, and the dryer started making an extremely loud and abnormal noise. We submitted a warranty claim and initially had no issues with the scheduling—the date and time were convenient, and we were prepared for the service visit. Unfortunately, the experience with the field service technician was disappointing. The technician, Frank, who works through Sears, appeared inconvenienced by the service call and demonstrated an unprofessional and dismissive demeanor throughout the visit. When explaining that there would be a $100 charge to rinse the detergent tray and clean the washer’s filter, the explanation was delivered in a demeaning manner rather than as helpful customer guidance. Additionally, we were informed that the warranty does not cover excessive noise from the dryer, despite the sound being loud enough to hear clearly from another room with the door closed. This was frustrating, especially given the severity of the noise and the relatively new age of the appliance. At a minimum, a diagnostic evaluation should have been performed to identify the component responsible for the issue and to provide guidance on the appropriate next steps. Overall, while the warranty process and scheduling were smooth, the technician’s attitude and lack of assistance significantly detracted from the experience. We hope future service visits reflect a more professional, respectful, and customer-focused approach.
