Very friendly and helpful

Since it is impossible to speak with a real person, I’m posting this here. This is the 2nd repair to replace the igniter on my gas oven in 5 weeks. Since there is a 30 day warranty, and I was 6 days past the 30 day warranty , I had to pay the full price again. The tech said he wouldn’t charge me for the part, but the labor was $319, which was more than the total for parts and labor 5 weeks ago. The part cost us $106 on the receipt 5 weeks ago. The labor charge was $195 five weeks ago. This is very unfortunate and dishonest in my opinion. We are stuck with this type of service which is why I will never purchase from Sears again.

James is great. Gave three stars because of James. However our Thor ice maker still isn’t working. We’ve sent several follow ups to Thor but no response. James has been out three times. I think we have lemon. Not been able to use for four months or so now.

Overall experience was pretty bad all said and done. Lady on the phone said I could pay cash and the technician was really rude about the fact that apparently they don’t accept cash in the field. I asked speak to a manager and he said he didn’t have one, yet he was clearly an employee. Each time I sought remedy to pay in cash he responded, we will just bill you. I did pay by card but was frustrated by that terrible customer service. Lastly, the technician showed me the parts he was going to order and they were definitely the wrong part. I had to reftrofit the new dryer element onto the old one’s bracket. So I paid 150 to watch and learn how to take my dryer apart. At least the technician was there on time.

I am not pleased with the way things have been going with sears. The service man was nice but the second repair appointment was not performed because he never showed at my house. I sat at home all day waiting on the repair man when I could have been doing something else. He called about 4:00pm and ask if I received a part which I never received and he knew this so he didn’t come to my house. This would have been the 3rd time he would have come. The second time the wrong part was sent so he didn’t do anything that time either. Please get this done and quit wasting my time waiting on someone to not show up.
