A very knowlegable and pleasant repairman
Donald quickly assessed our problem with our electric range as a defective control board. He notified us of the cost of the repair and gave us the alternatives and tried to find ways to reduce the costs. We decided to look into purchasing a new range. We were very appreciative that he could come out the day right after our call.

Not sure what the title is
Donald called me this morning and said he was on his way and would be at my house in about 15 minutes. He was prompt and got to my house in about 12 minutes. He was pleasant to talk to plus he explained what he was doing, what he discovered, and explained what needed to be repaired and what the cost would be in a clear and understandable manner. He also gave me options in regards to not fixing the refrigerator due to the extremely high cost involved vrs what the approximate cost would be to buy a comperable new refrigerator and suggested a few places for this. With what he shared with me I decided it would be more cost effective to purchase a new refrigerator rather than repair my old one. I thanked him for coming and gor explaining things to me. I would definitly be comfortable giving him 5 stars and recomending him to orhers.

The technician was great, but the system isn't
Our dryer failed on 10/22/2023. We filed a claim for repair service on the following day and a repair visit was scheduled for 10/27. In the emails and text messages from Sears Home Services, I noticed that my appliance was misidentified as a two-in-one stacked unit, although I had listed the correct model number on the claim form. I tried to alert SHS to the error, but there is NO WAY to communicate with you. Whether I tried by phone or via the website, I was unable to reach a live agent. Both the phone number and the chat tools were bot-only, with just a limited number of menu options and no way to get a live agent. The first tech showed up promptly as scheduled, but didn't have the needed part, explaining that the stocking of parts on the trucks is determined by the office. So we had to wait SIX more days to get our dryer repaired. Both repair techs who came to the house were wonderful, but there are no nice words to describe the frustration caused by your organization.
