Technicians canceled on two different occasion. They have an 9 hour window where you are basically waiting for someone to show up. So they cancel an hour or two hours before. Very unprofessional. Wonder why Sears are all closing. Horrible customer service and huge waste of time. Have four children at home and a broken washer still wasted a week booking appointments. Would give negative stars if possible.
Michael P,
Did nothing. Stated electrical issue and left within less than 10 minute total time at residence. Back to square one.
Garrett C,
My window time for my appointment was 8am- 12pm. No communication saying you would be late . I called the home office. The technician was an hour late..
Lolita W,
Where to begin? Sears came out to service our GE Cafe fridge, which was a little over a year old on 9/28/2023. The repair technician finished around 5 pm and stated, "You'll know if it's cold tomorrow if the repairs worked." We left with the technician to attend a soccer game and returned around 9:30 pm. The next morning when we went downstairs, we noticed water coming out from the bottom of the fridge and ultimately into the basement. We immediately shut off the water in the house and realized we had a major issue on our hands. On top of this, the fridge wasn't cooling! When we called Sears back, they explained that they would send another technician out but couldn't assist with the damage. We eventually reached the correct individual and filed a damage claim. We rescheduled another appointment for a Sears technician to come out and fix the fridge, and they said they needed to order more parts. The service appointment was rescheduled for 10/27. The technician came out and said they wouldn't work on the fridge until we signed a waiver exonerating them from any further damage. What reputable company does this? We refused to do this, and they refused to work on the fridge. The technician also explained that they don't touch the water line, so it must have been installed incorrectly from the very beginning. It's strange that the unit never leaked for 600+ days straight but coincidentally started leaking hours after the Sears technician left our home. We decided to hire GE to fix the fridge since Sears is no longer the reputable company they used to be. If they don't honor our damage claim, I've already hired an attorney, and we'll be more than glad to file a lawsuit, as well as report them to the State of New Jersey Consumer Affairs. Buyer beware!
