The technician Zariq A. was very thorough and nice. However, I feel the fee should go towards purchasing a new appliance from sears if the appliance cannot be fixed at a reasonable cost. $148 is a little steep for a 5 min diagnostic visit.

I had a terrible experience with Sears Appliance Repair and would not recommend them to anyone not even my worst enemy. First, their scheduling is a joke. Instead of giving you an actual appointment time, they give you a 9-hour window. Even worse, the “updates” they send throughout the day just keep pushing the arrival time later and later. If you’re expecting someone to show up when they say they will—don’t bother. Then the actual repair was even more frustrating. I clearly explained that my dryer had no heat, but the technician ignored that and insisted I needed a $150 belt so he could see if it worked.. The belt itself is even crazier because they legit order the part from Amazon and had Amazon deliver the part to my house with the order slip with freaking actual price of the part being $9 that they charged $150 for plus $250 in labor for what was literally a 10-minute job.. It gets better—they didn’t even show up on the scheduled day to install the belt. I had to reschedule AGAIN, and on the third attempt they showed up at 3 PM after claiming a 9:30 AM arrival. After all that, once the belt was installed, they told me it would be another $300 to fix the actual heating issue the problem I originally called about. At this point, it’s honestly cheaper to just buy a new dryer. Terrible communication, terrible service, and completely overpriced. It really feels like they take customers for a ride. Save yourself the headache and go with someone like Appliance Pros—they actually show up on time and don’t nickel-and-dime you for every little thing

Horrible horrible service. First of all you will NEVER get in touch with an actual human it’s all AI. I scheduled an appt for a fridge repair over the phone and of course the AI heard my address wrong. When I went to fix it online LIKE THEY SAID TO. I wasn’t able to edit the address. I then CANCELED and rescheduled and finally got an appt for 8am-12pm. I got a picture of the guy and where he was and that he was “3 stops away” when 12 o’clock came I refreshed the page and it says “1:45” okay no problem. I Check again and it jumps to 4:45! Thank god I’m off from work right? Anyway I refresh at 3:00 and the picture of the gentleman that was supposed to repair the fridge and the map of where he is is gone and it went back to the original time “8am-12pm” well guess what dumbos it’s 4:00 pm!! Make it make sense. Not only was I extremely upset that all my food spoiled but there isn’t even an ACTUAL HUMAN u can contact and discuss what’s going on! I will NEVER use Sears for anything again & will use local mom and pop repair from now on.

SCAM. I Waited all weekend. Tech was polite and the quoted $ $300 over original quote. I tried to call sears 9 times and kept being sent to same prompt menu! NEVER AGAIN. People are contracted
