I recently had a Sears service technician named Caleb come out to inspect some concerning growth on a couple of air vents, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service. The inspection required attic access, but we ran into an unexpected snag: the attic stick was missing, and the pull-down hook itself was broken (the loop had previously snapped off, so even the stick wouldn't have worked). Rather than turning this into a reason to reschedule, Caleb asked if I had any rope. I found a length of cord and he used it to tie a secure knot and rig a workaround, successfully latching onto the broken hook and pulling the attic door open without any issue!! Caleb was extremely thorough and analytical in how he evaluated everything, taking his time to carefully assess the situation rather than rushing through it. One thing worth noting, due to certain limitations on what he was able to assess, Caleb recommended having a specialist take a closer look at the growth. I appreciated his honesty about that rather than him guessing or overstepping. It's rare to see this level of problem-solving, thoroughness, and attention to detail from a service technician. Caleb turned what could have been a delayed or incomplete visit into a fully resolved one. I highly recommend Caleb, and I hope Sears recognizes him for the quality of work he provided!! Caleb was very professional and knowledgeable. Great personality and pleasant. Was a fantastic experience having him solve the issue with my A/C unit. Caleb gets 5 stars which he deserves. Not impressed with the AI system. Real people need to answer questions not an unreliable AI program.
