John seems to be a quality person and technician however your company didn't want to fix our washer because it would cost your company to much money, but that's why we bought the extended warranty. ISSUE REMAINS UNRESOLVED!

Technician was great! He was on time, honest, courteous and thorough in his diagnosis. My only issue is how much Sears Appliance Repair charges for repairs. I'm perfect willing to pay a fair price for a technician's time and expertise in the diagnosis and repair of an appliance. The diagnostic fee charged was fair and comparable to others in the area. The problem is, the labor charge for replacing something as simple as a thermal cutout switch was a little ridiculous. To replace this switch, the back has to be removed from the dryer but once removed, it's easily accessible. As a matter of fact, the back had to be removed as part of the diagnosis anyway. The part cost around $35.00.(which was going to have to be ordered) The labor charge to replace it was $299 to remove 1 screw. That was after waiving the $129 diag fee. I'm not paying $335 to repair a dryer that's 9 years old. For another $150 I could buy a new dryer. I'll order the part and install it myself. Again, I'm happy with the Tech and the diagnosis, but I feel that Sear's repair costs are extremely high. Won't use again for this fact. I did leave a 5 star review for the Technician, not for the company.
