Reschedule three times through AI. Told to call number to verify appointment but never talked to real human until repair person arrived. Charged me $126 for a $20 fan off of Amazon that shipped from Amazon to my house. 4 hours of labor when it was 1 hour combined. The good news is they fixed the problem. $200 total charge would have been reasonable. $572 total. Don’t tell customers to reach out when you are completely automated by AI. There is no way to reach via website or the phone number provided below. You actually have no desire to make it right which is absurd.

Even though we called to confirm the work was scheduled for a refrigerator and also included photos of the refrigerator, the service person was prepared to repair our LG gas range and could not repair our refrigerator.

I will never use Sears home services again. I had the most unprofessional repair man that I’ve ever met. I got an odd vibe from him as soon as he arrived. Immediately he started asking me a bunch of personal questions. He asked how old I was, what my plans were for the weekend, what I like to do for fun, and so on. At first I thought maybe he was just being friendly but things continued to get weird. He continued to talk and talk about anything and everything. I’m like can you please just look at my dishwasher. My kids had a birthday party to attend and he was already an hour and a half late upon arrival. We finally figured out that my appliance could not be repaired. However he kept showing me parts I could order from Amazon but that wouldn’t fix my dishwasher. Which doesn’t make any sense. He told me to buy some type of gasket that wasn’t even for the model I had. And a new soap dispenser on the inside. The door was cracked on my dishwasher and water had been running out. The damage was not repairable. So I told him thanks anyway and I would purchase a new dishwasher. He got really mad at me and raised his voice and said. “I don’t know why you’re canceling the job. I came all the way out here to do you a favor and you’re canceling the job!” I was like huh? I thought to myself, I hired you, you’re not doing me a favor. You already did the job and now it’s over. He also told me he would personally pay for my service fee of $129 dollars. I told him I didn’t think that was ethical. At this point I just wanted him gone I was very uncomfortable and so were my children. He was acting so weird I was worried that my children and I might be in danger. My daughter came in with a toy that she wanted me to fix and I asked her to please wait until the repair man left. The repair man stopped what he was doing and started working on the toy. Which I really didn’t want him interacting with my children at this point. After we wrapped all that up he sat down at my kitchen table for another 30 minutes. Still trying to give me a list of parts that would not fix the dishwasher. He asked to use my bathroom which I know they are not supposed to do, plus he was gross. He noticed my toilet handle was broken and asked if he could stay longer to fix it. I told him no. This is all just so weird to me. Finally he let me pay him and I got him out of the house. He sat in the driveway for another 20 minutes before he finally left. He was there for 2 hours and basically did nothing except freak out me and my kids. I reported this to Sears with all of the details above. They would not refund me any of the money. Their customer service line is AI and it will not transfer you to a person. It took me two days and four different numbers to finally speak to someone. The only thing they offered me was to send out another repair man but they would charge me again. With Customer Service like this I can see why so many of their stores closed. I will never be a Sears customer again. If you’re looking for home appliance repair I highly recommend choosing a different company.

We have been scheduled for service on our dryer 6 times. They have never come and there is only a boy to talk to. Wastes hours and still no service

Our washer was fixed and the repair man did fine work but the customer service with only AI was terrible. We were given a time frame when the repair man would show up 1pm-2pm he was early 12:20 and there was no way to let him know someone was on the way within 5 minutes since we were expecting him at 1pm so he left with no way to contact him. Which made for another day of me taking off work again.

This rating is for Sears Home Repair, not for the technician. Chris was fine. Sears Home Repair was impossible to reach and speak to a live person. We had four appointments and parts ordered, but in all, this process took over five weeks to complete, ultimately resulting in our washing machine needing to be replaced. The website provided for status updates was useless. And the local number to call never offered the option to speak to a live representative. Our repair windows were 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and twice, we were told on the website the technician was on the way, only to receive a follow-up text at 3:55 PM stating that our appointment was being rescheduled. And both times, the reschedule was as much as 10 days out. Now we are waiting to find out what our home warranty will cover towards a new machine. We will likely be without a washing machine for six weeks.

Nice guy, but has no knowledge of thermadore refrigerators amd was no help on understanding all the issues with the unit EVEN WORSE....they respond below with that number. That send you down an AI hold of nonsense and not let you speak to anyone

Waited for the repairman at the scheduled time. He never showed and we got notification we were not home so they could not do the repair. Could not get in contact with a real person for help. Had to reschedule and hope they arrive another day.

The technician must have been new as he new nothing about fixing the dishwasher. We had already discovered the leak and actually replaced the part but it still leaked so we called thinking we did something wrong. The technician said we did what he would have done but he proceeded to check out the instillation not even doing it like the instruction on line mapped out. Did not know how to take the inside component apart to get to the seal which is the problem. Proceeds to say the part we purchased was probably faulty and he could order a new part and come back and put it in. The part was going to be $131 and change plus $375 labor for a part that cost $20 on line and we installed it in about 30 minutes. I don't usually give bad reviews but I will never have Sears out to do anything again. It still cost me $129 for the service charge and he only made it worse.

They schedule an appointment for the middle of the week everytime.. with no option to change it.. just delay it to the same days but the following week. And of course I have a job and work in the middle of the week, so I have use pto.. just to sit there from 7am - 4pm just wasting my time and pto. For no one to show up 3 weeks in a row.. sure hope they come out next week, but i don't expect them to at this point No option to talk to a human, all Ai chat bots or over the phone automated systems. 0/10 do not recommend
