Tech was nice but did not take off back of refrig wall cover to actually look at and vacuum out coils; he only vacuumed out the back of the vent and had to ask if he was going to clean the coils initially since he brought no tools in except a thermometer. I’m pretty sure maintenance check involves a through check of the equipment not a 5 min stay of opening doors for temp and seals. Disappointed with Sears as a whole and the constant canceling of appointments for all appliances. Will not be renewing any service maintenance plans with Sears and I will also warn others not to get Sears Home Services. What a scam to pay all the money upfront and never get prompt or good service when needed. Never heard of waiting 6 weeks for a refrig to be fixed when it’s not working. Any other company can do way better than Sears.

The dishwasher was not repaired. Repairman said the valve was not working and needed a plumber. Not a pleasant man.

Elijah came out and did the repairs today and the icemaker was working when he left but within two hours, the whole machine is shut down and I cannot even turn it on. I checked the Circuit breakers and none were flipped, but I flipped them all and flipped them back on and it did not make a difference. I tried to make a repair appointment again to fix this correctly and dealing with AI is just impossible. You cannot state what the issue is and I prefer to speak to a real person when you The same issue again.

Scott, my service person was efficient and customer focused. He was great to work with and tried to accomodate all my requests! Sears Home Service was a challenge to work with and I would not use them EVER again. The company website does not offer any troubleshoppting options that I needed, the 800# did not give the option I needed, and when I finally did speak with someone English was a second language and the conversations were frustrating. No one showed to the appointment that had been scheduled to complete the repair that I waited from 7AM to 4PM so I had to call and reschedule - I was charged $140 for a part to fix my dishwasher and Amazon sent one that cost $16.98 - there is no one to assist me at the company to get a refund for this glaring OVERCHARGE. Supposedly someone is calling me to discuss - I will beleive it when I get it.

Biggest waste of time and money! Sent someone that just took everything apart and sprayed my dryer down with WD40 (that I had to provide) and didn’t replace any parts or fix the problem. Call back and get someone to reschedule out a technician. Come to find out the guy never actually put me on the schedule. Cool. Call back and they put me on that day at the end, that’s fine. The new tech calls and says he can’t make it because he has too many on his schedule, and asked what the issue was. I told him and he says oh yeah WD 40 wouldn’t fix it, it needs a new part. DUH!!! So now I called madder than hell to get it rescheduled for the next day and the lady on the phone says she would put in an escalation. I waited for that call. Never came. Call back and they have no record of an escalation!! Now I finally get a new date 2 weeks from my original repair date even though THEY SCREWED UP MULTIPLE TIMES!! “I’m sorry” doest’t get me my money back or a working dryer. Trust me, save your sanity and money and call someone else.

Add me to the list of people who waited all day long for a "7am to 11am" appointment only to have Sears cancel it via email at 4:55pm and reschedule it for two full weeks out from now. There is no option to speak to a human, every phone number I can find simply routes to the same automated system. Currently escalating it with American Home Shield Warranty who assigned Sears to fix my dishwasher. I'll also add this is the second incident I've had with them in the last 30 days. They were also assigned to fix my dryer two weeks ago and waited all day for a 7-11am appointment slot. Finally the guy showed up at 3pm. However all day, no updates, no notifications that he was running late.

The service technician was courteous and knowledgeable…..however I cannot in good conscience recommend Sears to anyone. It took a month to replace a GE oven element, after 3 scheduled visits/cancellations and an no-show after waiting from 7 am to 4 pm. You deal entirely with AI by text and email and no human intervention. You CANNOT reach a human if you need to; they purposely disallow it. Their system is so screwed up I won’t bore anyone with the details. Sears is not with the times, hasn’t made the necessary investment, and will torture you. Proceed at your own risk.

This is awful. My appliance is covered under warranty and this process has been a nightmare and a tech hasn’t even come yet. Somehow they have parts ordered and haven’t even been here to figure out what’s wrong with it. They keep moving my appointment to days I’m not available and the only people you can talk to is an overseas call center who read from a script and have no idea how to actually help me. All I want is to know who is coming to my house and what company they are with locally because obviously these aren’t correct because all the local addresses are closed down malls that have no businesses in them. I’m so over it. The worst part is the appliance is brand new and only bought it in July. **UPDATE** The “Owner” responded with the same phone number I have already called multiple times and you get the most incompetent workers. If they really want to fix it, then get me some real help. ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE.

After 4 visits, multiple ordering of parts that really weren’t the solution and two months of repeated rescheduling of technicians Scott was finally able to diagnose and fix the problem. I’d be hard pressed to recommend Sears unless I was assured of getting Scott.
