Scott Sears service Technician did an excellent job. He is very knowledgeable about all appliances. Scott came in to service my dryer which was down for 1 week due to the parts arriving to my home. Jeffrey B. along with the tech that diagnosed my issue the previous week are great!!! They figured out the problem quickly and were able to answer all of my questions. Sears customer service needs a lot of improvement. Here's what happened to me. Scheduled initial appointment for a Tuesday. I have issues with an 8 hour window but it's a lttile more reasonable when you get a timeframe the morning of. Tech comes that day figures out the issue. He ordered the part and set another appointment for the following Monday. The following Monday I get another 8 hour window. Estimated time is 3:30. 3:45 the estimated time continues to change to a later time but the tech is still 4 stops away. I call the number to get an update. No one can give me a real estimate. I cancel all of my evening plans hoping the repair would happen. 4:30 tech is still 4 stops away and the estimated time is now after 5:00. I call and again get no help. They kept telling me he would be at my house by 4:45. I told them that was impossible. I also asked if it was normal to have service after 5:00. No one could answer that question. 6:00 comes. I call again. They insist the tech is still coming. 6:45 I finally called to reschedule because I could no longer stay home. THe worst part is that they told me the next appointment was 10 days away and they could do nothing about it. Not being able to get someone on the phone that had authority to give updates or make accommodations for an appointment is not acceptable. It took my own initiative to get an earlier appointment. I had signed up for a service plan which I'm now canceling because of this. It's not worth the monthly cost just to get 8 hour service windows that may or may not be honored. Please improve this process.
