It took more than two weeks for the repair to complete. The part took most of that time but that part, at high quality, could have been obtained 1.5 days sooner. Sears needs to evaluate its part retrieval and shipping process which is very delayed.

Sears is a sad, empty shell of its former mediocrity. After troubleshooting our old Kenmore dryer and replacing thermal fuses and thermistors to no avail, I booked an appointment with a Kenmore/Sears Home Services tech for today. The window: 7AM - 6PM. (Thanks, Sears, for being harder to pin down than a dermatologist nearing retirement.) If that were not ridiculous enough, at 4PM the tech was expected to arrive at 8PM, and at 7PM he was still "one stop away" according to the website. The support phone line (the #1 FAQ is, "What number do I call if my appointment was missed," which tells you something) went straight to busy signal without ringing, like in ye olden days before voicemail and transistors. At 8:20PM the arrival time is supposed to be 10:53PM. No, I don't think so. [Apologies and retractions in advance if this is not Sears Home Services appliance repair. Hard to say, really.]

Tony our technician went above and beyond to try to help. Great guy. He is committed to helping resolve problems. Sears - as a company - was absolutely terrible in their response and handling of this issue. 3 months to address a broken fridge is unacceptable

This was the worse tech service I have ever had in 30 years owing and renting properties. First there were 2 people with regular vehicles pulled in my driveway blocking both exits from the house. What repair person doesn't park on the curb? They spoke a different language in my presence which is completely rude. I had to ask what was being discussed and what was going on with the fridge. The one spent the whole time on his phone looking up "parts" so he said. However I spoke with a representative last week and gave the model number as to have parts on the truck. So why didn't he have the part ordered as expressed in his text message the prior week. Finally after I already said it's likely the compressor, he agreed and stated it will take 10 days to get parts authorized and placed. Mind you it has already been a week since my original service call. This is the most unacceptable service call and waste of money ever.

Hello- this review is of the services of Sears. I am absolutely gobsmacked at the level of dishonesty and blatant disregard for your customers. After MONTHS of this appointment being rescheduled due to a missing part required for service, we decided to keep the Nov 11 appt with our service window of 8-5pm. The ETA kept changing through the app link, from 130 to 430 and then eventually 545pm. Suddenly at 604pm I received a text message asking me to rate the technician. The technician who NEVER SHOWED. Despite us waiting around for over 10 hours! When we had AHS call in for us (because we aren’t able to get a phone number nor could the chat not help because our service was marked as complete, so no number existed!) the Sears/A&E rep told AHS that tech notes the pet was broken (total lie) and that visit would have to be rescheduled. I received an email as well with a signature for service- again, totally fabricated. We saw NO TECHNICIAN! No attempt was made to fix washer despite MONTHS of trying for a resolution. The dishonesty, flagrant disregard for customer time and suffering, and utter lack of accountability is horrific. I hope we never get assigned service through you again.

The first technician in my opinion was poor at diagnosis and repair. He came in, told my husband he did not need o turn off the power, disassembled and reassembled the dryer and ordered a belt. He returned a week later. After a period of time and lots of banging around in the laundry room (once again her did not cut the power to the dryer) he announced that he had good news and bad news. We were told that there were additional unforeseen issues and he ordered another $150.00 in parts scheduling another return trip 2 weeks later. When I looked at my dryer after he left I noticed a large scratch on the top panel that prior to his service was not there. Luckily the next technician Malik was skilled. First thing he did was ask me where the pane; was so he cold cut the power to work safely, then he completed the repair. I did not hear a lot of banging around and in a short time he left me with a functioning dryer.
