Sears did not honor the maintenance agreement, instead they "bought it out" and will send me a check so that I can deal with the problem. That was not the agreement I signed up for. I bought the service contract to avoid having to source the new water heater, deal with its installation and the removal of the old one. I will never deal with Sears maintenance contracts again.

Work was done but the ice maker fell off. It flooded our freezer. when I call to have someone come back an appointment was made for Sept 4. It was cancelled for some unknown reason, and rescheduled for Sept 10. So we waited from Aug 22 until Sept 10 to have a problem fixed that was created by the repair person. Would not use Sears repair service again.

It has been over a month and I still have no part and no repair. No one has contacted me about the delay. I can see why Sears is close to extinction. Very disappointed as I have spent a lot of money over the years

The serviceman came in my house without a mask. He then diagnosed the problem to a thermal fuse and gas value; the part and labor to fix would be $603. He needed to order parts and would come back in about 2 weeks to install them. We settled on a date and time range. When he didn't show up on the date that we arranged I call the office; after waiting for 20 mins I finally got to speak with someone who informed me that they parts were on back order. At that point I cancel the parts and service. I was put on hold while he contacted the service department and then cut off. I called back and again waited 20 minutes to talk with someone. I finally got to speak with someone and they confirmed that the parts and service had been cancel and that my credit card should be credited for the $603. It never was so I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I then called New England Appliance for service. The came over and fixed the dryer on the spot with just a new thermal fuse which they had in his truck. Total charge was $156. I give sears appliance repair one star only because 0 wasn't an option. They are ether completely incompetent or scammers.

Horrible. Received an e mail prompting me to fill out a service review, but unfortunately, I still have not received service on my extended warranty covered generator. Called in September about my generator, which was under an extended service plan which I paid good money for. Tech came out weeks later, told me he needed to order parts. Then, they couldn't find the parts, they were on backorder. I've made call after call, attempt after attempt to reach them, with no response - it's been 5 months. Finally, I took it to a local repair shop last week, and they fixed it in less than a week, and had no problem finding the parts. Will really hesitate next time I think about shopping Sears.

Don't go with these guys. They don't know what they are doing. They ordered wrong parts. Appointments cancelled without letting us know. Two technicians visit and a month later, washer machine is still broken and waiting for yet another technician appointment. Their customer service is also useless; they will not do anything to help you when they messed up.
