Problem was not solved. Rep couldn't duplicate and so did nothing. I believe they should have replaced the 'igniter' as that seems to be the reason for this happening. They ruled out everything else, but said the igniter looked fine and was working........ This has been an 'intermittant' problem for quite some time. By ruling out that the stove is getting gas, etc. then it seems the igniter is the only item that could be malfunctioning at times. When they left they made a comment:"Don't be surprised if this happens when cooking dinner tonight as we didn't do anything to fix"....... Really??? Really..............Not happy at all after to paying close to $100.00 for them to do .....nothing at all...............do something!

The repair person was patronizing and condescending. Instead of acknowledging the problems with my induction stove, he spent the time telling me that I need to adjust to the different stove and that cooking is only as good as the person doing it and that you can't multitask and cook. This is after a previous repair call where the repair person told me my stove wasn't cooking evenly because it wasn't completely level. Two visits, two times talked down to, stove still not working as a quality appliance should. I will never use Sears again..

Very disappointing - I have a service contract for repair and maintenance on my Sears purchased cooktop - scheduled a maintenance visit and the technician, during visit, indicated that the cooktop needed fixing as one of the burners was not functioning properly. He indicated that he wasn't the repair person but he called the individual while he was at our appointment and confirmed that the repair tech would be at my home at 1 or 2 pm the same day to perform the necessary repair. I waited all day and repair person never showed up and never called to say that he wasn't going to show up. I called Sears and the person I spoke to in customer service indicated that the ticket had not been entered into their system for that day's activities and that I should call back the following morning after 8 am. I did so and set up a repair appointment for the next available slot, which was for the following week. I spent the whole day captive in my home because the repair person said that he would be visiting that day. I've had good luck with Sears appliances but this was very disappointing customer service.

Technician didn't seem to know what was wrong with my dishwasher and ordered multiple new parts for replacement. It took 10 days to actually get it fixed, and it still doesn't work. Now it will take another 8 days to get another technician to re-evaluate it.

Garbage disposal was replaced last year under warranty but new model did not adapt to plumbing but technician made it fit improperly. A year later this garbage disposal leaked from the bottom and also independently from the poor plumbing; it was replaced again under warranty but told we would now need to hire our own plumber, which we did as soon as new disposal arrived. However new disposer was a repackaged disposer ( you could tell by the glue seal) with no parts included - no gasket or discharge horn; plumber had to obtain new parts to make it work including a gasket and plate that was not included in repackaged unit. Cost me $395 for plumber for a $250 disposal.

Customer service response - Hi John, We are glad to hear that the warranty covered the disposal and regret to hear of the plumbing costs that you incurred. Thanks for sharing your feedback. We are striving to improve our service and your comments help us to do so.

The WORST service I have ever experienced. Two appointments scheduled for 1 to 5p. The first one they FINALLY arrived AFTER 5p. The 2nd, the incompetent technician couldn't look up my warranty information though 2 persons I called were able to look it up instantly. He called at 4:45p asking about the warranty information. I spent 30 min getting a "job number" for him and called him back. HE WOULDN'T ANSWER THE PHONE and blew off the appointment. He RESCHEDULED it for 2 weeks later without calling me back!!

One point for calling 30 min before the "repair" and showing up, for $99. The young technician seemed very unexperienced. He didn't care about the dust and dirt behind my fridge. Stepped into it, then did spread it throughout my kitchen. The diagnose was a broken compressor. He offered a repair for $1,000!!. Then he tried to sell me the repair in combination with a repair plan for 12x$49. I denied a repair since my fridge is a 2003 model. I asked him for alternatives and for a discount on a new fridge. He mentioned that he would have to go to his car in order to get a coupon. Then he took my credit card, called my bank for validation without informing me. He asked me for a sheet of paper and a pen, wrote a confirmation number down. I asked for an invoice. He said his printer is broken and I would receive an email. Nothing. No invoice, no email. Absolutely unprofessional and a bad experience.

we purchased two HVAC systems for our home from SEARS along with additional master service contract to cover everything. After a scheduled maintenance service in early march the furnace stopped functioning. Called SEARS, they scheduled someone to comeout but no one showed up for the appointment. Called them again and they told me someone will visit but no one showed up again. Called them 3rd time and after asking me many questions I was told that I need to change my Thermostate (which sears had installed) and that it will cost me. First I was surprised that no one is coming to look at it, 2nd that a almost brand new thermostat would stop working, which has been working fine, 3rd that I was being asked to pay even though I had purchased Master agreement with additional cost. Sears refused to service or come-out to take a look at the problem. We were without heat for 6-7 days, this after paying 10s or thousands dollars on brand new equipment install. I finally used the manual to walk through all settings of the sophisticated communicating thermostat (with lots of setting) and tripped on a setting where HeatPump was set to OFF. After I set this ON, the heat started working again. Provided SEARS attitude and approach to fixing customer's issues, I would NOT recommend anyone to go with SEARS for HVAC installs.

Customer service response - We apologize you did not receive service for your HVAC system as expected. This should not have occurred. We definitely strive for pleasant communications all across the board. We will make sure to pass along your inconvenience to our channels. We would like to thank you for your business and hope to serve you again. ^OC
