The repair itself was fine. The service man was very professional, polite, and friendly. He did the work quickly and neatly. No mess. What I don't understand is why it takes TWO service visits when I knew exactly what the problem was and told Sears exactly what part I would need when I first requested service. When that first guy came, all he did was pull out the fridge, ask me what the problem was and say that I needed the valve (the same valve I had already told Sears I needed). But he said we had to schedule a second appt. to get it installed because he didn't have the part on his truck. I would understand if I had not not specifically stated what part I needed when I first called, but this seemed ridiculous for me to have to take another day off. Why didn't Sears just tell the first guy what part I needed so he would have it on the truck? This is the THIRD time this part has been replaced, so there was no question....it was all in the service history.
