BEWARE: They ONLY use AI for scheduling and customer service, with no way to speak to a real person when problems arise. I originally called from my office landline to schedule a service appointment for my washer. During the call, I specifically provided my cell phone number as the contact number and was told it had been updated. Unfortunately, it was not. As a result, I never received any advance notice before the technician arrived to assess the problem. To be fair, the technician was excellent. He clearly explained the issue and provided a quote to order and install the required part. The problems started after the part arrived. I scheduled the installation and was given a service window of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. I took a day off work and waited all day. No one called, no one texted, and no technician showed up. That's when I discovered they still had my office landline on file instead of the cell number I had provided. After updating my contact information again, I rescheduled and took another day off work. This time I received a text early in the morning saying the technician should arrive before 10:00 a.m. Then the estimated arrival time was pushed back to 12:30 p.m., and later to 2:00 p.m. At this point, I have very little confidence that the appointment will actually happen today. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that customers are required to prepay for both the part and the installation, yet there is no way to speak with a live representative when scheduling problems occur. Once they have your money, you're essentially at their mercy. I wish I had chosen a local repair company instead.

Sears servicing was contacted to come out and perform a diagnostic on my refrigerator. the technician came to my house, checked the major parts of the refrigerator and indicated that none of those things were broken. There was no problem with the capacitor, the compressor or anything major. He simply reset the refrigerator thinking that there could have been a power surge, which was causing my refrigerator and freezer not to cool. He indicated that I should wait a day and see if things changed after the reset. If not, I should call Sears back and tell them that I needed to have a senior technician come out here to further explore if it could be a Freon problem or a thermostat control problem. He was paid the fee as requested. After a day, there was no change in my refrigerator. It still was not cooling. I called Sears and these people wanted to charge me for another service call because I declined repair. I did not decline repair, there was never a diagnosis provided. The customer service rep was adamant that she was going charge again for someone to come out again. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but that did not get very far. Do not use these people, they are fraudulent. All they want to do is sell you warranties. After I scheduled the first appointment, i must have received five calls trying to sell me a warranty. Do not use Sears service repair. Go buy a new refrigerator.

Technician was great. He did what he could do. What kind of appliance manufacturer DISCONTINUES making parts that break on a relatively new machine. Total SCAM. I Paid 143.00 to be told “it’s fixable but we no longer supply that part.”

Technician was argumentative and very arrogant. Pre determined cause of failure on drive over before looking at appliance. Was rude and insinuating insurance company is scammers and would never fix no matter what. Have him on video and asked for it in writing then he accused me of wanting him fired. Very unprofessional.

He was very rude, didn’t do the full assessment he was supposed to do and he just hung up on me when I asked him to do the work he was assigned to do! I have never had such poor communication and treatment from anyone!

Jerome came to the home when our two adult children were there. He did not explain anything to them. My husband called him and he was rude and hung up the call when he couldn’t answer the question, what is wrong with our air conditioner? We are very disappointed in the service and have filed a claim.

I used to be a loyal Sears customer, especially with service after the sale. But then I'm faced withe the old "circuit board needs to be replaced" problem. Problem is it took the repair person 3 minutes to tell me this for the standard diagnostic fee of $141.00. That could be applied to the next trip to come out and replace a $700.00 circuit board for an old dryer. All very cut and dry. But in all fairness, considering the service was 3 minutes, and the fix is almost the cost of a new dryer, they could have charged me half, but they couldn't because it's policy. Well guess what drove Sears out of business last time?? Rigid, unreasonable charges in all circumstances. Not even Amazon, Walmart, or even Home Depot treats you this way. Again, considering the time spent, and the alternatives I was left with, there should have been some reduction. But that's OK, because I've learned my lesson and now I will NEVER call Sears for anything again.
