Sears is not a customer friendly entity. If I could give them a minus star rating I would happily do so. Their service center is entirely AI generated with no ability to talk to a human being. A scheduled technician sent a text as we sat inside our home stating no one was home when he came. I immediately went outside and ran down the street shouting as he turned off our street driving away. Attempts to get through to have him turn around were fruitless. Our doorbell works fine. There was no knock on our door. It’s no wonder Sears is a shadow of the company they once were. The inability to talk with a human being is the final straw. I will never buy another product from Sears. To reiterate, they are not customer oriented much less friendly.

You will never talk to a person, the parts for a repair will never ship, and you will spend hours trying to get a refund for the money.

I was charged $130 for a misdiagnosis of the issue on my washing machine, and told it would be a $500 repair on top of it. When I got a second opinion, the other person found the problem immediately, fixed it in 20 minutes and charged me $20. So I will not be calling Sears home repair again.

Update I had to use their service again and it was a disaster. They have to customer service representatives anymore. It’s all AI chat and you can’t get anything done through it. My first review was a 5 star but this was so bad I’m changing it. The technicians are good but the customer service doesn’t exist. They changed my appointment 3 times without seeing if I was available for the new date. Will not use them again. Very professional and knowledgeable.

Update 4/30/25 - So they finally showed up for an appointment after four tries. All the technician does is look for the serial code, order the part, and says he's done and will have to come back another day to fix my oven. What? Four days of missed work for him to just take a picture! I provided all of the information from my oven, including pictures. That part should have been ordered and ready to install upon the appointment. I have never in my life had so much trouble getting something fixed. When buying an appliance, 1. Never buy Samsung. 2. If they have warranty work with Sears, don't buy it. Go somewhere else that actually has customer service and not just AI. It is absolutely ridiculous that I have had to miss so much work because they can't get their act together. It takes me a month of work to earn one day. They are making be burn through five! Worst customer service ever! If I could give 0 stars I would. I just had my third cancelled appointment to fix my oven in the past month. They have only AI and foreigners to talk to, which is absolutely no help at all. They schedule their appointments from 8 am - 5 pm with no updates. If you reach out to AI, they will tell you your appointment is confirmed and then 10 minutes later they will cancel it forcing you to miss a full day of work for absolutely nothing. It's Easter weekend and I'm now without an oven because my appointment was cancelled again. Worst customer service ever. Absolutely do not recommend.
