Jake was great at fixing our refrigerator. However, our appointment was booked a week in advance and then cancel two days before and reschedule for 5 days later. I was not notified why our appointment changed and was without a fridge for even longer.

Sears Appliance Repair very quickly picked up my home warranty service request and within two days I had a repairman at my house for an immediate appointnent. Communication about my appointment was thorough via email and text and I was able to track the technician's location and arrival the day of my appointment. The technician, Rhyen, was professional and also kept me in contact about his ETA. He was mindful of cleaning his shoes before entering my home, explained everything in detail to me about his diagnostic findings, was efficient, and seemed very knowledgeable about repair needs. I would definitely use and recommend Sears for appliance repairs as well as a variety of other sales/services they offer.

TL;DR: RIP OFF "cleaning" and SCAM customer service Do not use this racket. Call a LOCAL company where they stand by their work and you can talk with someone face to face and get results, not by phone to a call center overseas where they send you in circles but never resolve your issue. "Clean & maintenance" for $99 is a rip off. I called specifically for mold I wanted cleaned. I was very clear about that on the phone. The technician (who was quite nice and professional, btw, I liked the guy and understand why there are positive reviews here) put in two Affresh tablets ($1.50/each on Amazon) and ran the cycle. I was surprised that he didn't scrub anything first and assumed these tablets must be magic. But by the time the cycle was finished and the technician was long gone with my $99, the dishwasher mold was still as nasty as before. Literally no difference. See the nasty photos -- these are AFTER this Sears "cleaning". This is what you get for $99. Does Sears stand by this "cleaning"? But that's not the worst part. I called customer service for a refund that same day (Sept 11). They said they'd escalate a refund request to billing. Weeks later, no refund yet. Called again. They said the same thing. No refund. Called again. Always different delay tactics. "Needs 7 business days to process." No refund. "Needs 14 business days to process." No refund. I was promised a customer service supervisor would call me by end of day. No call. Twice promised, twice no call. I'm just off the phone with them again (Nov 6). SAME THING. Talking to a supervisor: "Billing has to refund. We can't." And of course there's no contact for billing. "They will reach out." Will they? It's been almost two months and 10 calls later....all me having to call. And never resolution. It never ends. Nice people on the phone. But never results. They never make it right. I'm tired of the runaround and wasting my time with "customer service". And I have no recourse other than to cry RIP OFF and SCAM and warn others to STAY AWAY. Hopefully this warning helps someone save $99 and avoid endless hours going nowhere with customer service. It's just not worth it. Avoid this racket. Go local, work with real people. ————- Updated 11/23/24 after Sears’ empty “customer service” response below: This response from Sears is EXACTLY the problem. That is the number I’ve called, now, 11 times. Overseas, escalated to billing, no results. You’ve had so many times to “make it right” and you continue to talk kind but take zero action. If Sears had any sense of customer service (rather people copy/pasting that empty response) and if you wanted to resolve this, you would reach out (my name is public here, and you have my number on file…9323…you have confirmed it each of the 11 times I’ve called) and you would refund my money immediately. But you don’t do that. Empty words.
