Called Sears to repair a washing machine that was not working properly. I was quoted a service charge of 109 dollars applicable towards the repairs. Salesman also quoted me a discounted price of 50 dollars to inspect and clean the dryer because the repairman would already be on site. No service was provided for the washer because the only problem was that someone had shut off the water intake valve by error. Cost should have been 109 not 260 as charged For the dryer service maintenance I was charged 80 dollars. Finally, I did not authorize the tenant to approve the final bill. This is a deceitful practice in my opinion.

I waited for the service repairman from 8 am to 4 pm on Sept. 11 to no avail. He called that I would be his last customer around 5:45 pm, but that was not good for me. Why can't I get an approximate time in the morning when he might be able to service my appliance? I am paying more each month than I did last year to Sears Home Services Warranty. Also, there is an increased fee for the initial house call, and yet, the availability of service is worse. The make-up day, on Sept. 13, was far better and it turned out the dishwasher was fine. In the future, I hope SHSW will provide an approximate arrival time that doesn't span 8 hours of waiting. As for the technician today, I would give him 4 stars for his professionalism and service.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! The appointment got cancelled 4 times and each rescheduled appointment was at least 30 days later. I finally gave up and had someone else do the repair. Absolutely PATHETIC SERVICE!!!!!

Do not purchase an appliance warranty program from sears. When I first called Sears Last year for an issue with my Refrigerator, the technician was there in a few days. He convinced me to buy the program For $600 which would cover all the appliances in my house. I did it and really regret it. First, I called them a few weeks ago For an issue with my dishwasher on 9-16 , Which was leaking. The soonest some one could come to my house was 3 weeks away on 10-8. . Then, they contacted me and said they had an opening yesterday. I had to be home between eight and five. No one came no one called, no one emailed I stayed home the whole day and the worst part about it is you cannot speak to a human, it is all AI assisted. When I contacted Sears Their AI assistant said the only option I had was to confirm my appointment, reschedule my appointment , or cancel my appointment. so after staying home for nine hours yesterday the only thing I could do was schedule a new appointment. This new appointment is now 10 days longer than the original appointment which was three already weeks. Because they booked the appointment for me yesterday, they took me out of line. Now the new appointment is in-the middle of October Which would make it almost 5 weeks from my original call., you cannot speak to a human. It is absolutely maddening. And I’m gonna do everything I can to Reverse this purchase. do not make the same mistake and unfortunately there is not a star less than one because their service is -10 stars. In closing, They’ll show up very quickly if you just have a general service call. But once you pay the $600 they could care less. they got your money and you gotta play by their rules because you cannot speak to anybody.
