The technician was excellent. And deserves 5 stars but Scheduling was awful i was scheduled 3 times for 8 - 12 and they kept shifting time of arrival all day long until after 5pm then rescheduled. Then I scheduled for 1-5 on 7/18 they changed it to 7/17 8-12 so I changed it to be on 7/17 1-5 which was accepted yet I was called 7/17 @7:20 am to be talked the technician is arriving @8:16am.

First off, Ricardo never shared a status, nor did he contact me before arrival. I gave him a bucket and a bowl to drain the washer and he somehow spilled water all over the laundry room. I helped him get it up with numerous towels. Once he completed, he started a rinse cycle to test that the drain pump worked, and water went all over the floor again because he didn't attach the hose properly. Once again, I'm helping him clean up water for thirty minutes. It was a mess. I'm thankful that my washer is fixed, as I literally waited for 8 weeks for Sears to get this done. I'm likely to cancel my policy, not because of the technician, but because of the horrible service received from Sears on this simple washer repair.

Our thermostat was installed without the fifth wire that was in the box being installed. When I asked why the thermostat had no power, the contractor said he wired it. Nope! Fifth wire was in the box. Now it’s 95+ outside and we have no AC on two floors.

Overall terrible experience trying to use my Sears Home Warranty. First appointment for my refrigerator got rescheduled two hours after the window closed for them to arrive. No call, just got a text saying my appointment was rescheduled at 2pm when they were due to arrive between 8-12. Rescheduled for 5 days later. Day 5 I get a text then a call which was great. Technician shows up and does the work. He leaves and a 2nd technician shows up to do the same job. On my 2nd call for my washer, I checked the link they sent me to see the status of my service call. my service was cancelled at 5pm when they were due from 1-5. I call to ask and after 7 people, someone tells me it’s not cancelled on their system - and I’m speaking to the scheduling department by that time. I assure him it shows cancelled and, more importantly, nobody ever showed up. I was told there was nothing they could do and to call back 24-48 hours later. I called another repair company who came out the next day and fixed my machine. I’d say don’t ever buy a warranty from Sears. They were better when I was not a warranty customer and I’d never sign up for that again.

My technician Daniel was fantastic!!! Would use him again in a minute. But the SHS logistics and scheduling and communication are the absolute worst. No shows. Incorrect communication. Impossible to speak with a live person. Impossible to modify or change appointment times online. The process was absolutely horrible, but the technician was great.
