This repair technician was one of the most knowledgeable and polite technicians I think Sears has. I have a Sears Kenmore Elite refrigerator. On February 10th I had a technician come out through my home warranty. He told me it was my compressor (which was still under the manufacturer's warranty) I needed the main board because my board wasn't compatible with the new compressor. Then I needed other parts and he'd be back in a week. A week later a Rafael comes in I thought he was repairing it he said no I'm here to check it out and he tells me all the same thing. After fighting with Sears because they kept canceling the appointments. Rafael even hung up on me after telling me he was coming by 2 and the appointment was canceled at 1:25 on March 4th. I contacted my warranty company they said Sears kept canceling and they were trying to get another person to come out and Sears wasn't picking up the repair. I then spoke with a case manager at the warranty on March 14th. He told me to call Sears schedule a service call pay for the repair myself and they would reimburse me the approved repair. So, I did, and John came out on March 15th However he had something to upgrade the main board making it compatible to my new compressor. He then ordered all the parts needed they came, and he completed the job March 27th. I would like to know how 2 other Sears technicians did not know they could have updated my main board, and I wouldn't have to buy one. Not to mention I was a few days shy of being without a refrigerator for 2 months. Sears needs to have more technicians like John and less like the first 2 that came here and cost me those 2 months. I hope you will pay some recognition to John for the great repairman he is.
