Randy came yesterday, I was not home. He left without calling me. He returned today and when he had completed he said "just so you know if you need service again I am not allowed on your property ". I think that was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. BUT the lady in dispatch, Val was AWESOME.

The text I received said the technician would arrive about 1:00 today; he arrived about 9:30. I had stepped out because I thought I had time. When he knocked on the door, my wife informed him that I would be home in 5-10 minutes. My wife was still in her night clothes and had him wait outside until I got home. As I was about 5 houses away, I saw him drive past me. I called Sears customer service 3 times and the the technician several time and left messages as soon as I walked in my house and was given the run around by the customer service staff and the technician never returned my calls. On my second call to CS, I was told that my order number could not be found and I was given the number to Sears Medical Services for some reason so I called CS back and was then told my order number was closed and was told I had to call my warranty company to complain. Our A/C is out and it is scheduled to be in the mid to high 90's today in Florida and we are without A/C. All the tech had to do was have a little patience as we passed each other in the street. My wife also told me that he waited maybe 5 mins after she told him I was almost home. Not a good look for Sears Home Advantage. Albert Clark

UPDATE/EDIT: the company commented on this review and asked that I reach out via DMs. I have. They asked for my info, and then NEVER got back to me. I still am messaging them and waiting for a response. Absolute frauds. They are stealing peoples’ money and not actually giving the service they promise. And then you can’t get in touch with them, ever. Original review: If I could put zero stars, I would. This company is fraudulent. They take payment BEFORE any repairs are done, and then don’t actually fix the problem. Then it’s so hard to get anyone to listen to you. When you can finally contact someone, they want to charge yet another service fee to fix the thing they failed to fix. Do NOT give them your money.

I had a few issues with my Jenn-Air range/oven. The initial tech came out on Wednesday, 7/3, and spent most of the time on the phone getting help. He "diagnosed" the problem, and I had to order $668 in parts. He told me that two techs would be out the following Wednesday, 7/10, to complete the repair. This was due to the weight of the cooktop that had to be lifted. He also said the parts would be shipped directly to me. I received the parts on Wednesday, 7/10, but no one showed up for the appointment. All I could get was an automated call tree that kept saying that the parts were still on order and that I would be contacted for an appointment when they were delivered. A call to the parts department linked me to the same automated call tree. The one number I had to speak to someone was not in service. On Monday, 7/15, I was able to chat with a real person and explained that I had the parts and needed to schedule the installation. I also noted that the previous tech said it needed two people. She was able to schedule for Tuesday, 7/16. On Tuesday, 7/16 (today), the tech Daniel arrived, alone and said that 1) I had a commercial model oven that they don't work on, 2) the parts that were ordered don't appear to be correct for the issue I was having, and 3) he was willing to install the correct parts that were ordered, but he needed another tech to help lift the cooktop. He went outside to call his supervisor and came back with two options. He could get another tech out there and install what parts were correct, or he could refund my money. I chose the refund, which I'm now being told will take 14 days. Daniel was very helpful and willing to try the installation, but every other aspect wasted my time and money. It's sad to see that Sears has fallen so far and provides such incompetent service. UPDATE 7/22/24: It has been five days since Sears asked me to message them through Facebook, which I did four days ago. I have not received a response from their Facebook account or even acknowledgment through Facebook Messenger that they have even seen the reply. Additionally, I have not received a reimbursement of the $668 to my credit card. I will provide an update in a few days, or when they decide to contact me. UPDATE 7/29/24: It has been 13 days since I was promised a refund on my parts order, and other than a Facebook message, I have not heard from Sears and have not received a refund. At this point I consider the parts to be stolen by the technician and will be filing a police report on the theft.

The Service Technicians are GREAT, it's everything around them that is horrible. The phone service is all automated and sends you in ENDLESS circles that never stop as long as you have an appointment, with no way of telling a person or even the computer what is wrong unless you pick the WRONG options and get transferred, when you do get a person, they just told me what I wanted to hear until one person FINALLY told me the truth that the appt i had scheduled wouldn't come out because the part they sent me and had been there for a week was still showing it was shipping. It took a month to get a simple fix on my fridge scheduled. I will NEVER EVER EVER use Sears Appliance Repair again. I want to reiterate that the actual repair technicians involved were great, it's the service in getting everything scheduled and the communication that is HORRIBLE. Worst I've ever experienced. I would give 0 stars if it let me.

Do not use. Was forced to use by my warranty company. Received 8 prior confirmation appointment texts, basically a countdown for the awaited day. Had to take day off as window was 8am to 5pm. The day came (7/8/24) received a text confirming the time frame of 8am - 5pm again. Tried calling the number on website at 2:30pm but just got a never ending bot. Called using a different cell phone (not on their file) and magically did not go in a loop as I was provided different options that provided me an option for a person who informed me my appointment was moved to the next day. I attempted to understand how this could occur but went around in circles. Still baffled why no notification of the no show just the tech was not available. Now get to take yet another vacation day to wait during another 9 hour window! I can understand why Sear went under.

Choice home warranty sent Sears out to fix my air conditioner and since it was still working a little bit but was not cooling properly Sears could not figure out what the problem was he said it would have to break down completely before he can figure out what the problem was well now it's broke down completely I can't get a hold of anybody at choices's home warranty to call me back to set up another appointment for Sears to come back out so I'm sitting in a 90° house thanks Sears thanks choice home warranty

Came! Looks at the ceiling and said that the leak is not coming from the air conditioner without assessing. The roof is not even a year old.
