Willie was the 3rd technician to try and repair a window unit that has not worked since the 1st appointment in June of 2024. I have had 2 control boards and one display board replaced. Willie installed the last control board and the only display board. The unit has failed again. He told me it should be replaced BUT when I called the benefits dept. they told me that the unit was infested. With what? That unit is clean. So now I wait until 8/13/2024 for another tech. to confirm his findings. I am so disappointed with the service or lack of that I have received. I need this unit to be replaced per my contract with Sears # 92563160600080. I have been a loyal Sears customer for 30 years and this is what I get. So sad. I need help in getting this resolved. DO NOT SEND WILLIE R. BACK.

The firs bad exeperience

Not sure if he knows what he was talking about. He basically says that we need to replace all the important parts for this fridge - some minor parts because they are bad and others important ones (compressor, etc) because they are not going to be compatible with the ones he will replace. Something like - we need to replace your gas line to your car but we need to replace your engine as well to be sure that it's compatible. And some of his supervisors asked him the same questions on the phone when he was there - probably they were confused as well. And this will put me on the bad position with my warranty company because they want me to pay for this "upgrade" Never had any bad experience with Sears before.

Just Horrible

John came out to service my unit on July 22, 2024 and told me nothing was wrong with the unit, even though when he left my home it was over 84 degrees inside. He closed out the ticked leaving my home in the same state that he found it. I had to go through my home warranty company again to start the process ALL OVER AGAIN. They sent John back on August 7, 2024 marking a whole month with no air conditioning in a city where there has been an heat advisory alert daily. He then tells me that it could "possibly" be the air ducts and then told me that he can't check them because this is something he can't/doesn't do. So once again I have to start ALL OVER AGAIN with my warranty company in order to send someone back out check the air ducts. This recommendation should have been made on the first visit and maybe just maybe I could have air conditioning in my home by now. I would most definitely not recommend Sears to anyone I know.

Very late well past window arrived well after 6pm for 1 to 5

Was scheduled to arrive between 1-5. Showed up after 6. That time was not acceptable. Cannot commit on ability but the lateness is totally unacceptable. Due to other commitments was not allowed in his fault for being so far outside of assigned window. Caused us to waste all day due to not arriving inside window. There fore gets zero ranking

Refrigerator repair

Replaced a part, but we found out later in the day that the refrigerator is still leaking. We have to wait 9 days before they will return to address the problem!

KitchenAid Refrigerator Leak Repair

This is the same technician who came on July 7 to my house after I received the parts (ordered on June 27 visit by Piero, to replace the icemaker and the inlet water valve. However, he refused to replace the inlet water valve, stating that I don't need it. I requested again, but he did not listen and took the replacement valve back with him. After he left, the leak started again and flooded my kitchen and family room again. The next guy on July 10, Norberto, was totally incompetent. He said he could not find the leak and asked me to request a senior technician. Luckily, the next guy on July 11, Piero Stella, was the first technician who ordered parts initially. He reordered the parts. On August 5, Jim Wyman and Leo came to install the parts. However, the inlet water valve broken and could not be installed. Jim reordered the inlet valve. Victor came today but refused to acknowledge to my wife that he came out on July 7th! Also, Sears Service isn't great either. It is impossible to get a live person to discuss the problems. I hope your service improves and you provide competent and courteous technicians. Piero, Jim and also are great.

Wrong diagnoses

Kory was sent by my home warranty company to fix my A/C. First, in the AZ summer I had to wait 10 days for an appointment. Once here He claimed it was an electrical issue and did nothing. Home warranty sent an electrician...another 10 day wait. The electrician proved it was indeed the A/C so I had to get another A/C guy to come...another 2 will wait. I specifically asked for it to NOT be a sears technician. The new A/C guy then acknowledged that it was indeed the A/C condenser and I need a new one. Currently waiting for the installation about a month later than I could have had it if Kory had been a capable technician. He cost me time and hundreds of dollars in fees/hotel rooms

ice maker

four time trying to get my ice maker fix. a new ice maker installed on August 2 and now its August 7, guess what the new ice maker is not working. this ice maker did work from day one. All I need is for someone to repair this ice maker.
