Kenmore Elite fridge

The unit is only four years old and stopped cooling. Called and it took 1-1/2 weeks for a service appointment. The appointment time was from 8am-5pm, way too big of a window but no other option was given. Initial service was on 7/20, Tech was friendly and knowledgeable, diagnosed the issues but had no parts to get the unit at least useable. Parts were order and we waited until 8/3 for the follow up to do the repair. Repair was done including new compressor and touch pad. The touch pad works great, the fridge initially got cold but the freezer is still not working. Follow up appointment is 8/11, no priority for failed/incomplete repairs??? No option to replace the unit either. Will think long and hard before we purchase another Kenmore product. I feel bad for the technicians.

Still Need Ice

The service tech arrived on time last Saturday and found that at some earlier point the water line had been incorrectly been hooked up and was the reason for water being released and frozen in the tray. He indicated when he was finished that to give the system 24 hours to recycle before making ice. It has now been 6 days and we have a total of 11 ice cubes in the tray; not what I would call a success. I will call Choice again today to file another request for your staff to inspect our system.

Person was polite but service was not good

I asked the service because the dryer was making noises but was working perfectly. When the technician came, he said it was bc was dirty. I authorized the service to clean but at the end of service, he said he didn't know why, but the dryer was not working. He ordered a component and came to fix it, but at the end of service he said same, he could understand why, but the dryer was not working. He asked another component and finally the dryer was working. But this time he said "the pipe connexion" was not good and he could not leave totally connected. I questioned bc it was perfect when he came and he did not mentioned…. He tried to said that was like this when he came but It not was, it was perfectly connected. He took the pipe out to fix the dryer. I asked to leave it the way it was when he came but he said was not possible for his body condition he could not do it better, and also bc he did not have tooling for that. And I need a solution from the company to fix the pipe and leave the way it was, totally connected. Technician has to leave everything same conditions he found , can't fix something and damage other part.

Orderd wrong part

1st time he came he was over two hours late. He showed me the part I needed but when it came it was the wrong part. This trip he arrived without a text or call before, I was in my pajamas. He ended fixing the washer but was over one and a half hours doing it.

Fixed after one no show appt and one late appt

This is our first repair with Choice home warranty. The first appt the technician never showed up. There was no way to get ahold of the company. We rescheduled for another two days later they did show up this time. They ordered the part and it was shipped directly to us in a timely manner. The next appointment the window of 7:00 to 4:00 was given again and the technician called us at around 5:00 p.m. the technician was very friendly and fixed the appliance but it would be nice if you would keep your customers up to date if you're running late.

Shared lots of opinions

He arrived at our home, and checked to make sure he was at the right place. I took him to the microwave, and he collected the info on the tag. Everything I would expect. Then I told him the turntable was making noise when used. He put a cup of water in and listened to it. He then said there was nothing wrong, just the wheels hitting a couple of small bits of debris on the bottom. Maybe he's right about that, I don't know but time should tell. He then proceeded to tell me that he hates GE, that all their products are cheaply made in China and are junk. He also told me that the microwave was improperly installed, despite the fact that my trusted installer has over 20 years of experience, and has serviced my appliances for most of that time. He also spoke unfavorably about the retailer where we purchased the microwave. All in all, if I were GE, I wouldn't want him doing my warranty service, and if I were a retailer selling GE, I wouldn't be very happy about him either.

Air condition issues

I have call Sears home services twice for the same issue and tech Jerry has not solved the problem. The air condition unit is still leaking water around the bottom area, I explain this to the tech they sent, he told me that some type of PVC pipe needed to be added on, I ask him could he fix it, he told me no he don't fix that type of work, check the refrigerant level and left. So I still have the same issue as before.

Never Again

Within minutes of him entering my home, I was unable to breathe due to the overwhelming smell of smoke that clung to him. I had to leave my home and use medication just so I could breathe again. I ended up at a business next door so I could be out of the heat and breathe. I am now exhauted, shaky, and have a migraine. He endangered by health with his smoking. Never again. Please never ever send a smoker to my house again. I finished the job by working in my garage, but it could have resulted in me having to be rushed to the hospital.

Dryer Repair

Took 6 weeks from initial call until unit was repaired. On 2 occasions a week apart each time the parts needed to fix my dryer hadn't been ordered properly or lost in the mail. Not sure which is true. In total had 4 service calls made to my residence a week apart each time. Guy was nice but took much too long for repair.

Don't blame the repairman for the company issues

Terrence was very nice and we were pleased to have our stove back. As to the Sears Home Services you are very unprofessional. You did not notify us until 9pm that he was not coming on the second day date the original appointment was made. And you want me to have all of my appliances in your care? I DON'T THINK SO!'
