Friendly but confusing

Bobby was friendly which is the only reason het got 3 stars. But he gave inaccurate and confusing information. I've used Sears before at my same address and it was a flat fee without tax. After Bobby inspected my issue and gave me a price to fix my stove I was told I HAD to make a decision at that very moment to get the service or I would be charged ANOTHER service fee to get the item serviced. So I had NO time to think it over. Even though the issue was known and the part needed was known. Partly this is a Sears operations issue. Horrible way to do business and a pressure tactic I do not appreciate. I was also told AFTER I decided not to get the service that there was tax on the service call AND I had to use one form of payment after I had prepared a check for the original service fee quoted over the phone. It felt a bit shady. This and the pressure to decide on the spot caused me to have a trust issue at this point. Will never call Sears again. I don't know if it was a lie, horribly outdated software or operational practices designed to pressure and confuse. Either way, I prefer to go with a company that has integrity and invests in technology from this century.

Courtesy call only 10 minutes prior and won't be able to wait if you're late. Estimate can only be provided by email cannot be paper. Email estimate does not give you a complete and clear picture. The estimate provided only have the parts cost and did not include the labor cost. And we are told by the technician to call customer service for any further questions or clarification.

I was shocked that he was using my wooden cutting for a cushion under his knee and he told me that the customers usually provide a cushion. I gave him a cushion and told him to use it on future jobs. I had to loan him a wrench because he did not have the proper size.

Needed to contact Repair service and they're uncontactable by phone or email. Neither is shown on website. Used a form on the website to explain my need and nobody responded. Repair technician 100% (approachable, skilled, and considerate) - Customer Service at repair firm 0%. Average 50% Rounded up to 3 stars.

It took three visits before my range was finally repaired. Wrong parts were ordered the second visit. The third visit the tech never showed up even though the app started he was on the way to my house. Fourth time the tech arrived at my home at 6:20pm after I chatted on line(What is the customer service number) I ask was the tech still coming. My range was repaired but it took 4 visits

William seemed fine as a technician per my husband's feedback, as I was not the one who interacted with him, and our range appears to be working properly (previously, there was an issue with the temperature control on one burner); however, this 3 star review is for the fact that William either didn't perform the cleaning and maintenance that we paid for, or if he did, it was a terrible job because my range looked no different than it had before he was there.

It is not acceptable to give a 9 hour window of service, requiring that people take a full day away from work to sit and wait. Also, you should leave a phone number in this new trend to online notifications. The do-it-yourself, online model is going to .push people to use smaller, more locale service companies, especially older people. The service man was great though!
