I dont know where to start - after spending most of afternoon on an online chat with LG sending information, videos and pictures the tech showed up none of that information. He was not familiar with the product and made me aware he could only stay 30 minutes - it took longer than that. If LG isn’t sharing the information then Sears needs to make sure they are getting that information so the tech is aware of the problem and what troubleshooting was done before he arrived. I can’t say for sure the problem is resolved but for now the dishwasher isn’t leaking.

There was a great deal of problems scheduling a Sears technician and have the person actually show up as promised. We were informed that our service was cancelled on the morning that the service was scheduled to take place after waiting three weeks. We were told that there was a problem regarding personell. As a result, we were not happy not having an oven for Thanksgiving. A second service date was scheduled by Sears for December 24th. We were concerned about the reliability of service and wouldn’t have an oven for Christmas. After numerous attempts to reschedule, we were able to move the date to the 19th. Our technician arrived on schedule and repaired the oven with the part we provided from the manufacturer of the Thor range. We were very pleased with the work done and the professional service done by the technician. It was unfortunate that it took six weeks for us to have our oven’s broken control knob and thermostat assembly replaced. Life shouldn’t be this complicated.

Technician arrived within full day window, but it would have been nice to get a call before he was here. I explained that I had smelled an electrical fire type smell when I first noticed the problem. My thermostat at the time had gone blank and was not responding to anything so I shut everything off at the source to avoid further issue. I looked in the furnace and there was rust and water, so there is a leak somewhere. He then turned the unit back on and the furnace kicked in and the thermostat started. I would assume this is because the electronics dried. His response however was “how is it on if it isn’t working”. Which I found to be quite rude. He then said he blew out the drainage line and turned down my humidifier and that might have been the water issue. I asked if anything had been replaced and I was told no. So after he left I went and looked and the furnace was again filling with water. I turned off the humidifier completely and the unit continued to leak. Which rules that part out. Even without the humidifier the leak continued. I feel like the technician should have been able to do this simple test. Instead he closed it up, took my money and left me with the same problem without doing anything to trouble shoot the issue. I feel very taken advantage of.

The first person that came couldn't fix it. My unit was very old and he was unfamiliar with it. He called someone for info, then called someone else and 2 more people showed up. Turns out Sears has a group of people that are trainees and a supervisor was here who is from Texas that is aiding in building a new service team. Super nice guy. He explained that the initial diagnosis was incorrect and that the motor was also bad. I asked if I cancelled the whole repair would I get my money back so I could get a new unit. He said yes. He was very helpful and apologetic, explained everything to me, and it all turned out in the end.

Before we had the warranty, furnace check ups always seemed to be more thorough and informative. It seems like the warranty checkups are very basic and dont inspire much confidence when they are "free" under warranty. I dont think the problem is with the techician. I think the problem is with sears and the warranty program. Another annöyance was that the web portal allowed me to choose thursday as an available date for an inspection, but then it got switched to friday even though friday was not an option in the portal. This is the second year in a row that my wife and i had our work schedules completely disrupted by this nonsense. Please do better. I know no one cares, but we pay good money for these services and deserve better treatment.

Horrible experience all around. Parts were on site within 10 days of diagnosis of the issue. First appointment was a no call, no show. Second appointment cancelled a half hour past estimated arrival time due to over scheduling the techs. Third appointment Tech said he was about to leave because no one answered after the first knock. He was 20 minutes early! Over all the experience we've had with Sears Home Services, Assurant, and Lowes with this set of washer/dryer is unbelievable. Less than three years old and already 3 washer fixes, and 1 dryer fix. A absolute hassle every time as well. 10 out of 10 do not recommend any of this companies.
