The technician never showed up, my appointment got canceled without notice, automatic phone system was no help until I use AI to find a number to talk to a live agent somewhere in India that told me about the cancellation because there was no technician available and rescheduled it with out asking if the day and time that she was giving me was Ok. Completely disappointed, I was hoping to have a good experience but this is a no go.

Technician was curt and unprofessional . 3rd visit by same tech. Blamed others for ordering wrong parts when in fact they were parts he ordered. Also asked for payment for warranty parts on first visit. Says Sears doesn’t care about customers or their employees. Walked out without any acknowledgement or courtesy. I would never let this guy in my house again.

It took way too long (2 months) to get my dishwasher fixed. It took 6 appointments to get it fixed. Every time they came they said they needed to order more parts. Two times they never showed for the appointment and didn’t even call to say they were not coming so I spent the entire day waiting for them to come. They didn’t even put the metal cover over the wires under the dishwasher and they only leaned the kick plate up and didn’t take the time to screw it in place when they were done I tried to call Sears and talk to a supervisor but they would not connect me to one. . I am VERY upset with the service we were given.

Herb C,
Dan, the repair guy, was great. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Unfortunately he saddled with the least user friendly call in service. Constant up selling and ridiculous processes make using Sears not worth it. One example- Dan came on a Thursday to diagnose the problem. He said it would take a few days to get the part necessary, so we had some time to decide whether to buy a new unit or repair this one. We looked around Thursday afternoon and Friday morning, then decided to have unit repaired. We called the number Dan left to schedule repair. We were told they were needed to send repairman to check to see what problem was before scheduling repair. I told the person we had that on the print out Dan left, complete with part number. Person said she had that as well but that didn't matter, they needed to send someone out. No amount of reasoning could get a deviation from "the script." of course they were very busy if they did everything twice. We gave up and scheduled this useless visit. In the meantime, we received an email suggesting we could order the part needed from Sears directly, and for $40 less than the quote from the repairman. When the repairman called prior to second visit, the needless one, I asked about this option. He said it was true and I could order the part for less money and he would still install it as per the agreement. I asked why he needed to check what he already did and he said it was the policy of Sears, a stupid one we agreed. He didn't come as it wasn't necessary and said to schedule install when part came. We called the service number and were given a time three weeks out because "they were busy." I suggested four weeks without a refer might be a challenge to the person on the phone, it certainly was for us. Grudgingly we received an appointment a week out. Dan returned and was surprised at the late schedule as he was available earlier. The repair took under thirty minutes and the estimate was adjusted accordingly. Dan was great. The other folks, we never talked to the same person at the service center, not so much. We'd love to use Dan but not Sears Service. There is a reason Sears is a dying company, losing 85% of it value in the last few years. It's death is imminent and it will be by self inflicted wound.
