Our interactions with Patrick were fantastic. I have 4 stars vs 5 stars because our first scheduled visit got cancelled at the last minute with very little notice.
Anne M,
Customer service response - Thank you for your review, Anne! We're glad to hear that your interactions with Patrick were fantastic, and we apologize for the inconvenience with the initial scheduling.

Brandon wasn't overly friendly or talkative. HOWEVER, he did basically take apart our whole dryer to install a new motor and fan!! His work was fluid and only took about 45 minutes!
John,
Customer service response - Thank you for your review, John! We're glad to hear that Brandon efficiently installed the new motor and fan for your dryer.

David is the best Sears has. I’ve had atleast 6 Sears repair guys here in a year. David is by far better than all the others. With that said, it only took since OCTOBER 2024 to now February2025, to get Sears to quit cancelling my scheduled appointment even after being confirmed and get my microwave fixed. I would definitely think twice about buying any Maintenance Warranty from Sears anymore. David gets 5 stars, Sears gets 1!
Annette S,
Customer service response - Thank you for your review, Annette. We're happy to hear David provided excellent service, but we're sorry for the scheduling issues you faced. We appreciate your feedback and will work to improve.

Unfortunately, did not resolve my issue. The technician was good, but I was told to wait 24 hours for the temperature to normalize - 48 hours later, my freezer is temping at 60. No obvious pathway to reopen my service request which is already closed without customer confirmation of resolution. For added fun, I didn't schedule this myself, and it appears they haven't updated their customer who is the retailer I purchased from, as it shows pending confirmation still. Already not looking forward to the fight.

Raj unfortunately started off the appointment day sharing that he had X amount of stops and it wouldn’t be until about 4-6pm until he made it to the house. That was acceptable, but I asked if he could call the person I left (name & number) in the “Special Instructions” with any further updates since they took the day off work to receive a technician. I was working and could not be the middle man. Imagine my surprise when he called me (not what was requested) minutes before the appointment time needing to cancel and reschedule. He verbally scheduled for the next morning at 9am since he lived 30-45mins from our place and that was the best timeframe he could give. I agreed to that time and someone stayed home again to be able to receive him. Then at 8:20am the next morning I got a call from Amar (totally different person) saying he should be able to make it before noon - I assume my stop got moved to his route either at the behest of Raj or a scheduler/automatic system. I was a bit heated in explaining that my original appointment was yesterday and it has inconvenienced two people by them needing to take time off work. Amar said he would confirm if Raj would actually still be the one to make it out and closer to the agreed upon time. Thankfully Raj showed up (after 9am) and was able to diagnose what was wrong with the oven, but further services were declined. The rating is because technicians should not be scheduled with more than they can handle and they certainly should not be in charge of their own rescheduling if they can’t already keep to their original timeline. I am thankful for the calmness of Amar and his professionalism. It sounds like Raj is a good tech, but not professional and poor at time management.

We are happy with the friendliness but washer is not fixed. They replaced the sensor and now the cold water won’t run. We’ll need someone out again ASAP.

He said he'd be there between 4 and 4:45. He didn't even call until 7pm. He walked in with dirty work books and didn't put on booties, didn't apologize for not calling to inform us he'd be late or anything at all..just complained that he was tired and had a long day. Which is a bummer for him but a phone call r text would've avoided us waiting all night and postponing plans. 2 stars cause at least he fixed the VERY simple job he was there to fix and it only took him like 20 minutes.
Sebrina C,
The repair person was nice, but the "repair " made the issue worse. They also say no live agents available so you can't even speak to a live person to file a complaint!! I want a refund and will be contacting the Attorney General's office for assistance. This is not a way to do business and the customer gets screwed.

I had Sears come to fix my dryer… the heating element wasn’t working. The service guy came and quoted me $800. $800 for a $30 replacement element. This is criminal. I was in shock. My brother in law came and fixed it in less than an hour with the new element that I ordered from Amazon. You should be ashamed trying to charge hard working people that kind of seriously appalling repair charges. Never… never will I use your services again. And any one who asks will be told this story!

The service person, himself was very nice and courteous. I can’t say the same for his skills as a repair person. He was there to replace the hose in the dishwasher, which he did. But when he put the dishwasher back in its place, he didn’t put the hose in the correct place in the back of my kitchen wall. For a few months, water was just pouring out underneath the wood floor of my kitchen. I don’t know how much water was spilling out onto the surface under the dishwasher & my kitchen floor and kitchen sink/cabinet. We didn’t notice anything for until I had a friend over, who noticed some unevenness on the floor and water seeping through between the composite floor tiles. I had my husband and his friend do some checking, and that’s when we discovered that water was spilling out from the back of the dishwasher because the repair guy didn’t put the hose in the proper place in addition, he didn’t secure the hose, so it was close to just spilling out completely. I called Sears but they said they couldn’t do anything because it was past their 30 days coverage and I should call my insurance for water damage. They didn’t even offer to send someone out to correct their mistake. My floor is damaged, I’m missing tiles, the old linoleum floor that's tested positive for asbestos is also exposed, the wall to my sink cabinet was removed and has not been replaced. My kitchen tested for asbestos when a water mitigation company came and inspected the damage. My home insurance denied the damage and says it’s my problem. Sears is saying it's my problem that they created. My kitchen looks like hell because I can’t get anyone to take responsibility. UPDATE (8/2025): I called the phone number that the sears response person left on the comment below. It's actually the same number you go through to make an appointment for a repair. You have to go through their obnoxiously complicated phone tree and you get nowhere.
