Frank was great at the appointment and fix things quickly incompetently. The scheduling system, though was pretty screwed up. It took five weeks to get the parts in and installed because seared canceled one of our appointments. And they only service my area, Anacortes, Washington, once per week.

I was happy with the tech, John, and the ease of getting an appointment. The only thing I'd like to see different is better communication about likely appointment time. The window of 8:00 to 5:00 is to big and understanding how and when I'd get updates, would be helpful.

Repairman did not have any identification or business card to support that he works for Sears. Then he asked me to sign a form in his phone that was blank. The form was about if he had to move the unit & damage is done …….etc. It did take him about an hour to find code to unlock the washer door.

So, I have lots of mixed feelings! We had two technicians come out, and nothing was done. Then the third technician was amazing, he diagnosed the issue, then ordered the part to be delivered to our house. We got the part, but the repair appointment was rescheduled twice and then just canceled. I tried to call, tried to contact them online, and couldn't get ahold of anyone. Eventually the case was closed and that was it. Six months later we finally get tired enough of the issue to try again. The AI contact person kept calling it a "diagnostic" appointment, and yet again I was unable to contact anyone. THANK GOODNESS it was the third technician that came out for this appointment. Not only did he remember us, he remembered the diagnosis, and fixed it in under an hour. He was friendly, efficient, kind, personable, and quick. He was wonderful and if it was just him, it would be 5 stars. Honestly he's the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. Communication: -2/5 Timeliness: 0/5 My last technician: 5/5 Total: 3/5

My service technician was great. What was not good was that the part needed for my oven repair only cost $29.69, (the part arrived at my house from Amazon with the receipt in the package) and I was charged over $254 plus tax in the estimate! The technician said he had no way of refunding the difference.This inflated charge by Sears is flat out robbery. I will not use Sears Home Repair again.

The appointments are set by AI. No human contact. We set the appointment with a 9 hour window. Ridiculous No call no show. I called the company to follow up and there is no path that leads to an agent. Very disappointed. Follow up to your comment below. The number you gave me is the exact number that leads to the automated system that never gets you to a human. You have all of my contact information. If you truly cared about customer service, you would contact me. By the way, thanks for the automatic rescheduling texts that we received over night. Nothing like being awakened by incompetence.

My one-star review pertains COMPLETELY to the AI-only scheduling aspect of Sears' appliance repair service (the technicians themselves may well be excellent). The AI assistant on the phone, "Samantha", scheduled me for a 9-hour window tomorrow - inconveniently long window but OK since it was just two days away. A text confirmed the appointment. This morning at 8:04, I received a text from "Richard, your AI virtual assistant", offering me today instead of tomorrow, which I accepted. I waited around and delayed a number of away-from-home tasks so I could be here. At 3:37, "Richard" confirmed that a technician is still coming today. At 4:20, "Richard" said nobody will be coming today, and the earliest date on which I can reschedule is Monday (a 9-hour window again!). When I replied to request my original Friday appointment, "Richard" went on in a continuous loop of useless information. He acknowledged that he/Sears had changed my status to "Reschedule Needed"; then he explained that "due to the "Reschedule Needed" status, we are unable to offer me an appointment for tomorrow". I replied that I'd never requested a "Reschedule Needed", and "Richard" acknowledged that that status had been entered on his end, not mine. Yet that's still the only reason being offered for delaying me to Monday. I tried calling again to speak to an actual human--impossible. Eventually I reached "Samantha" again, who again repeated a bunch of useless information and rescheduled me for Monday. I really hope the technician who eventually comes out (hopefully on Monday!) is capable.
