The exhaust fan in the fume hood over our range needed replacement, and Sears ordered the part and had it sent to us. Unfortunately, it arrived broken and had to be ordered again. I built a 3/4" plywood panel for the technician to lie on over the burners so he could complete the repair. One of our appointments was not fulfilled, and we had to schedule an additional one. Overall, we were without an exhaust fan for about 3 weeks, although the technician was very friendly, and capable. I donated the plywood shelf to him for his future use.

The technician was very good, informative and very Customer service oriented. The Sears service AI customer scheduling and communication system is horrible! Assurant would be well advised to find another service company.

The AI chats didn’t give me needed option to check on tech arrival. I was supposed to get a call in a.m. with expected time. No call. Found out if I kept opening auto text message, the expected time was noted but kept changing. Repairman came and did a quick part replacement which I appreciated.

Robert was fine, but I was overcharged for a very simple repair. It took 5 minute to screw in my oven handle, and yet I was charged over $300. Good customer service would have been a courtesy quick repair with a charge for the visit only.

Technician were on time and helpful. Really appreciated their careful, thorough approach. 4.5 stars for Charles and Ritesh! However, the Sears Home Services phone and website leaves a lot to be desired: There was a lot of info provided, but it was not accurately updated. The biggest problem was their phone support team was not connected to the local team: So when there was a delay in getting parts, no one could help me understand the delay. Also, no one from Sears ever called me... even after multiple escalation/complaint requests. Will I uses Sears for future appliance repair? I really want to, but their phone support (and lack of personal touch) gives me pause!!!

The service rep was nice, but they stuck me with about $400/in labor cost for what took him 15 minutes to do. Kind of pissed me off and not sure I will ever use Sears again. BEWARE! He told me after the fact that that is a flat rate, but this was a rip off.
