Putting aside how expensive the service is, I felt both times I used the service, the technicians were not really interested in solving the problem. I am not going to doubt their experience nor expertise, but they seem to be just more interested in following the text book diagnostics and walk away. I really did not feel I got any value for the money paid.

The entire scheduling system is automated with no option to talk to a person. I set up a repair service 6/18 between 1:00-5:00pm. I took time off work to be home. They cancelled via automated text that afternoon and I had to reschedule for 6/19. I arranged for someone to be there from 1:00-5:00, the updates kept coming in all afternoon to later and later times. The final estimated time was 7:15pm. Then suddenly around 6:30pm I received another automated notice that the technician came and I was not home. This is a lie, I never left home and was anxiously waiting. No one came! Now I have another person waiting at my house from the new window 6/20 8am-12pm, with the first estimated arrival time now 9:30am. Praying they’ll come for the third confirmed day in a row. The service guy who was scheduled called me today 30 min prior to the appointment and basically said there was nothing he could do and it wasn’t worth it to even come. Update: I called a local direct repair service. I spoke to a real person who listened to my concerns. The guy arrived within 4 hours, troubleshooted, gave me some options, and worked for about an hour. He retrieved my ring before getting into the costliest option. Totally professional and respectful. Cost was $100.

This was the worst $154 I spent for a 10 minute check. Not sure why Sears charges this much if all they do is check with a voltmeter to tell me all is good with the main control board, which I already knew. That check may have taken 3 minutes. The rest 7 minutes were to remove and reattach the cover to get to the board and have me scan the code to pay using my credit card.

We scheduled a refrigerator repair for a Saturday. We waited all day, they never showed, never called, could not be reached. Three days later they texted with “it appears something happened with your appointment” and “would you like to reschedule?”. We said yes, agreed to a later state between 8:00 am and 12.00. Again they never showed, didn’t call, and when when we checked the website and spoke to the 800# they couldn’t confirm if or when the technician would arrive. As of 3:30 pm they were still a no show, so we cancelled. We wasted 15.5 hours waiting for a simple maintenance call, and never received service or a call from the technician.

He didn’t do anything, he just said that the damaged parts does not longer exist and that is not true. He charged for doing nothing and apart from that not doing well his job on searching the parts Update 12/10: we called and Sears sent the same technician again who admitted that the parts were actually available, however, he was clearly upset about the recall and he ended up creating the work order with poor customer service

What a nightmare….took six appointment's to finally get a repair man to visit. Not his fault but something is very wrong with the IT scheduling….over and over again they were a no show for a variety of odd reasons.

Stay Away! I rarely write a bad review. They do not honor the Master Protection Agreement after you purchase the plan. They were suppose to provide annual furnace checkup, but since they can hardly pay and keep their techs, customers have to suffer. Now they only provide a reimbursement of $75/service/year. Notify the CSA that the lowest estimate received was $160 for Seattle area. But they refuse to send me the full amount, even after notify several departments, and spending countless hours over the phone, being pin from one department to the other, and no one taking responsibility. Stay Away from Sears

Worst experience. Customer representative didn’t even spend 5 minutes in diagnosing the washer issue. Incorrect diagnosis. Demanded full money. Had to call a different person and fix the issue. Please stop ripping off money for incorrect diagnostics.
