The technician spent a lot of time diagnosing my appliance & running thru the test cycle. In the end, he waited 20 MINUTES for my lame Samsung washer to "calibrate" a spin cycle for an empty drum. Samsung=0, Sears=5.

Mehran was very knowledgeable and very polite. Talked a bit too much, but was quick to stop when I said I didn't have the time to chat. What I DID NOT LIKE ONE BIT, is that I received over 10 texts (one each day) telling me I had an appt. today. And, 7 emails THIS MORNING telling me I had an appointment. OVER THE TOP and only made me mad and quite frankly not want to use Sears Home Services any longer. The technicians are great, your repeated reminders are horrendous!

We hired Sears Home Services to help repair my elderly mother's Kenmore Elite dryer. It was a frustrating experience start to finish. First, it took nearly a week to get a tech person out to evaluate the situation. Once scheduled, I received a number of emails and text messages reminding me of the appointment. The individual tech who showed up was short tempered and rushed. He diagnosed an issue with the belt and said they would need to order the part. The bill for that visit was $348, including a $23.17 part. We were having an issue with the drawer under the matching washer opening and asked if he could take a quick look - but he told us it would require another appointment and an additional labor fee. For the dryer, we were told it would take a full week before we would get the part and the tech could return to put it in. Why don't techs carry these parts in their vans when they are common repair issues? The day came when they were to install the new part and we saw a truck show up to the house and then promptly leave. No call or email. No reminder texts or emails. I called the support line and was told there were still 4 hours in the service window and the tech would likely return. Instead, within an hour I received an email stating the visit was being rescheduled to the next day. No explanation as to why. Today we were given a 2-hour service window (3p-5p). The tech was 20 minutes late - 5:20. Thankfully he was a different tech from the initial visit, and was very friendly and efficient. We went without a dryer for nearly 3 weeks. This experience has me hesitant to purchase a Kenmore product in the future.
