I had a very disappointing experience with this appliance repair company. When my five-year-old refrigerator stopped working, they told me I had two options: pay $1,600 upfront for a repair, or opt into a monthly “insurance” program that would supposedly cover other appliances as well. I felt pressured into choosing the expensive repair because I was desperate to get my refrigerator working again. If I had more time or options, I would never have agreed to this. To make matters worse, after replacing the compressor, they left the old part in my garage and told me they couldn’t dispose of it—despite the high cost I paid. I now have to figure out how to get rid of it myself. To be fair, the technician who came out was very nice and professional, and I had no issues with him personally. My frustration is with the pricing structure and lack of full service follow-through. Overall, I felt taken advantage of, especially considering my age and urgency. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

For starters, I want to say that my repair technician, Merhdad, was great. It’s just everything else that was really terrible. I called Sears service on June 18th. I have a service plan. My refrigerator was dead and needed repair for the SECOND time in a month. They scheduled me for service next day - on the 19th. Around 1 o’clock on the 19th I got a text stating that my technician was not going to be able to come that day and they rescheduled me for the following Monday. (6/23) And now it’s Monday. I have not had a refrigerator for five days. At 9 o’clock in the morning I get an automated text stating that my service technician was canceled. They won’t be able to come. I need to be rescheduled. Again. I am rescheduled for Wednesday, June 25th. Holy cow, someone actually shows up. Unfortunately, he does not have the parts necessary to repair my refrigerator this time. He has to order them. I’m rescheduled for June 30. And on June 28, I get an email stating that the parts weren’t available and now my service is scheduled for July 3. That is 16 (SIXTEEN!!) days without a refrigerator! The exorbitant cost of this warranty is not worth it. I spent more money this month on food that rotted and going out to eat ( family of 5) than the cost of the warranty plus the cost of the repair out-of-pocket. My comment is: if you do not have enough technicians to service an area, don’t promise appointments. You are messing with people’s lives. Every time one of those appointments was canceled, I had taken a day off work because the service window is from 8 AM to 5 PM. Also, you need to get rid of the AI on the phone calls as well as on text. It’s annoying, and it doesn’t help anybody!

Bob was great and knowledgeable and explained everything, my experience with sear in past 3 months which my washer was broken was very unpleasant and unacceptable. Sears has been failing in every level about the service on my washer, I should’ve waited for 3 months with broken washer, I will not purchase Ang more home warranty from sears.

I was not happy to find out just for replace green liight and parts for small deep freezer would cost over $500 to fix. so end up paying just come out and 139 plus tax. I will not use Sears again.

The technicians were wonderful. The rest was of the process was awful. Tech 1 came,on time, diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. He made an appointment to come back to install the part. Part was sent to me. The tech never came back. I called and was unable to speak to a human. I was put into a loop, 3 choices, none of which applied. I was instructed to go online using the the attachment on my email. That took me to a error page. Then I went directly to the website. Ended up texting with AI. That went well. AI referred me back to website. I ended up rescheduling another appointment. Tech 2 was a very nice person and finished the job, however I was charged for another service call. A customer should be able to actually talk to a human, preferably someone that speaks understanable English.

Work done was satisfactory . A window of 8 to 5pm was given with estimated time of arrival around 2pm in the schedule. However, no one called or texted and we were left waiting. Around 4:30 pm , chatted with scheduling and got them to change date and time as I had an appointment. I left the house and around 4:55pm received a text saying technician is on way. Fortunately my son reached home at same time and the work was completed. The window of arrival is very large(entire day). However the technician did not connect at the approximate time of 2pm nor informed of any delays. Please understand people don’t have the entire day especially Saturday, waiting for a call or text. Time of approx arrival should be respected (or updated) which was not done.

David was great but we were expecting a report on what was wrong with the fridge and some sort of estimate on repair cost. He did advise it might be cheaper to buy a new one but we'd like some number we can use for comparison purposes. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Great service from the technician named Mehrdad, but the scheduling is terrible. They missed three appointments and constantly changed the times. Don't waste your day off waiting for them.

The guy (DON) is hard to contact, I rescheduled my service to April 22 and he is saying that my service is complete on April 06. I guess this guy is trying to scam me. The reason why I rescheduled my service is because my washer is working fine now the issue never came back. The first guy that came didn't even do nothing but asked what was wrong with the washer and I told him and showed him that the Vibration sensor WARNING appeared notifying that The vibration sensor is not working properly call for service. So the technician advised me to order the vibration sensor and the technician left and said he will return when the part comes in but sense then the washer has been working just fine. I would like to hold off for any service until that Vibration sensor warning reappears. I already paid for initial inspection for the technician to come out.

The guy who came in for Washer inspection/repair appeared a bit lost. He was going back and forth on his statements. He appeared not confident and unskilled. I asked him Will he do maintenance today- in the same session. At first he said they don’t do it the same day. He was not so interested in knowing the issue. I kept saying the error code was SC, to which he kept mumbling something to himself. And then he kept asking me what C’ was the error? Weird. Then he looked up online and then suggested it might be drain pump clogged, etc. And gave me a quote for repair just today. I said I will need time to decide that. I said him how do I make payment, he said I could do online with the link that I would be send and bid him by out of the door. He came knocking back asking me to the payment right away through his phone. I found him extremely unsafe to deal with and weird. He insisted on coming into the house. I said him I am uncomfortable and asked him to step outside and send me a link. I made the payment and then he left. Very Very Very Weird!
